Job description

The Relocation Director will lead and expand our company's corporate and individual relocation business. This role is responsible for developing and implementing strategic initiatives, managing department operations, cultivating corporate relationships, and overseeing a team of relocation-certified real estate agents.

The ideal candidate is an experienced leader with a deep understanding of the real estate and relocation industry who can ensure exceptional service and drive departmental growth. The candidate will work regular business hours from our Carmel, IN office location.

They will assist real estate professionals with traditional office administrative duties and help open and close the office as needed. At times there will be assistance required with marketing, recruiting, and other real estate related duties.

Responsibilities

Strategic leadership and business development

  • Develop and execute strategies to attract, retain, and grow corporate relocation accounts.
  • Act as a company ambassador at industry events and conferences to build relationships with relocation management companies (RMCs) and corporate partners.
  • Create new revenue streams by developing and marketing relocation services to small and medium-sized businesses and affinity groups.
  • Assist all staff members with marketing, administrative contract review processes and attend meetings routinely.

Relocation department oversight

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the relocation department to ensure all processes run smoothly and efficiently.
  • Streamline the relocation process to ensure timely updates, compliant transactions, and efficient handling of all paperwork.
  • Ensure that all relocation activities align with corporate policies, timelines, and compliance standards.
  • Serve as the final point of contact for resolving complex client concerns or challenges.

Team management and training

  • Process leads in two separate software applications.
  • Recruit, train, and mentor a team of relocation-certified agents, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
  • Track leads in excel for future analysis.
  • Develop and implement training programs to equip agents with the specialized knowledge needed for relocation transactions, including unique paperwork, strict timelines, and tax implications.
  • Monitor and evaluate agent performance, providing regular coaching and feedback to ensure the highest standard of service.
  • Select and match the most qualified agents to each individual client's relocation needs.
  • Maintain an "open door" policy for agent questions and advice.

Client and partner management

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for corporate clients and RMC partners.
  • Conduct needs assessments to provide customized relocation services for corporate transferees.
  • Ensure consistent and effective communication with all stakeholders throughout the relocation process.

Qualifications

  • Active real estate license preferred but not required.
  • Previous experience as a real estate broker is preferred.
