Non-CDL Truck Driver/Box Truck Driver - Local Delivery Driver

We are currently hiring a Non-CDL Truck Driver (also known as Box Truck Driver, Local Delivery Driver, or Straight Truck Driver) to drive a small truck to transport cargo to and from destinations within the immediate local area.

  • Position: Non-CDL Truck Driver / Box Truck Driver – Local Home Daily
  • 1st Shift: Flexible Early Morning Shifts
  • Pay Rate: $24.12 per hour
  • Hours: 40-50 hours per week
  • Overtime: Time and a half after 40 hours
  • Pay Schedule: Weekly paycheck (every Thursday)
  • Weekly Pay Ranges: $963 - $1,324 Weekly Gross (Typical weekly pay around $1,023)
  • Location: Position is based in Grand Rapids, MI; Plymouth, MI; Indianapolis, IN

Responsibilities:

  • Ensures all cargo is loaded, checked, and safely secured during transit as a local truck driver.
  • Acquires all proper signatures on shipping/receiving documents.
  • Accurately complete vehicle inspection sheets, fuel consumption logs, daily log sheets, bills of lading, vehicle trip records, and expense reports.
  • Maintain general cleanliness and basic preventative maintenance of vehicles.
  • Strict adherence to all state and federal DOT regulations.
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • Valid state-issued driver's license, with a clean driving record (non CDL required for this non-CDL truck driver position).
  • 1+ year of recent commercial delivery-driving experience (e.g. as a non-CDL driver, box truck driver, or delivery driver) or willing to complete a company driving training program
  • Ability to lift, push and/or pull up to 50 lbs., if necessary (common for box truck driver roles)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for customer-facing local delivery driver duties
  • Excellent driving record
