Job description

Position Overview
  • Lead the resort’s overall sales strategy for a high-volume convention and group-focused property.
  • Develop and execute strategies to maximize group, corporate, convention, leisure, and catering revenue.
  • Lead, mentor, and motivate the sales team to consistently achieve revenue and occupancy goals.
Salary and Benefits

Salary- 130,000-165,000

Health, Dental and Vision- 80.3% company paid; thereafter until 6%

STD and LTD, Accident, Hospital indemnity, pet insurance

401K- Eligible after 1 year Company matches dollar for dollar for the first 3% and$.50

12 Vacation and PTO Days during first year, increases every year after year 1

20% discount on food and beverage, 30% on retail

$70 cell phone reimbursement

Key Responsibilities
  • Drive new business through proactive sales, networking, industry relationships, and account development.
  • Manage key accounts, meeting planners, corporate clients, and convention partners.
  • Develop annual sales plans, budgets, forecasts, and revenue strategies.
  • Partner with Revenue Management to optimize ADR, occupancy, RevPAR, and group mix.
  • Oversee group sales pipeline, contracts, negotiations, and conversion strategies.
  • Collaborate with Catering, Events, Operations, and F&B to ensure exceptional group experiences.
  • Analyze market trends, competitive activity, and performance metrics to identify growth opportunities.
  • Represent the resort at trade shows, industry events, client meetings, and community functions.
  • Establish strong relationships with meeting planners, DMCs, CVBs, corporate accounts, and key industry partners.
  • Ensure the sales team delivers exceptional service while achieving or exceeding revenue objectives.

  • Proven Director of Sales experience in a luxury hotel, resort, or convention property.
  • Strong background in group, convention, corporate, and catering sales.
  • Demonstrated success leading sales teams and driving revenue growth.
  • Exceptional negotiation, communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Strategic, results-oriented leader with strong knowledge of the luxury hospitality and convention markets.
