Job description

Salary: $67,000-$85,000/YR plus bonus DOE

Thomas Grace Construction, Inc. is a prominent nationwide General Contractor specializing in retail construction, including new store developments, remodels, tenant buildouts, and more. With our headquarters in Stillwater, Minnesota, we are looking to expand our team with an Assistant Project Manager. This role is essential in assisting our project managementteam on various construction projects from inception to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.


This position is not remote. It requires team members to work daily from our office in Stillwater, MN. Please do not apply if you are not living in the Twin Cities area or do not plan on moving. Thomas Grace does not provide any relocation assistance for this position.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist Project Management team in leading and managing all aspects of construction projects, including planning, bidding, execution, and closeout.
  • Assist Project Management team in developing and maintaining project schedules, budgets, and reports to ensure project objectives are met.
  • Coordinate with architects, engineers, and other jurisdictions to ensure compliance with specifications and regulatory requirements.
  • Support entire project team with daily project coordination.
  • Assist project team with bid solicitation, estimating, bid review, & awards.
  • Manage smaller projects with oversight from Project Managers.
  • Assist with preparing and presenting project updates to management.
  • Position is onsite and requires work to be performed physically in the Stillwater, MN office.


Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field preferred.
  • 1-3 years of experience in Project coordination, Assistant Project Management, with a strong focus on commercial or retail projects.
  • Understanding of construction processes, contracts, and safety regulations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Procore project management software and Microsoft Office Suite preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
  • Ability to organize and manage multiple tasks.
