Job description

Job Title: Supt, Fleet Refueling Services
Work Place Flexibility: Onsite

Job Summary/Purpose
Provides governance and oversight of Refueling Services readiness and implementation projects at Entergy Nuclear plants in accordance with regulatory requirements, company policies, and procedures.
Job Duties/Responsibilities
  • Ensure Fleet Refueling Services standards of conduct are executed and adhered to.
  • Provide governance and oversight of site Sr, Project Managers and Supervisors for timely and quality completion of readiness/critique procedures.
  • Attend Daily Fleet Outage Services/POD calls and report-out on applicable condition reports/corrective actions for respective sites.
  • Attend all Refueling Services outage readiness meetings for respective sites/projects.
  • Perform online and outage observations of Refueling Services leadership and ensure standards are being upheld. Promote Safe, Error-Free, Quality.
  • Manage resources to support staffing of Refueling services online/pre-outage and outage scope, including Dry Fuel Storage.
  • Review contracts, budget (online/outage), and load boards with the Site RF Project Manager and Finance IAW outage milestones and long-range plans.
  • Review Vendor performance and assist in driving performance improvement initiatives for respective sites.
  • Identify risks and gaps with Sr, Project Managers. Ensure adequate and timely actions are developed and completed in accordance with their associated due dates.
  • Standardize processes, procedures, and equipment/tooling as applicable across respective site and facilitate change management through Sr, Project Managers.
  • Attend Reactor Services industry working groups and owners' groups meetings and provide best practices and lessons learned to stations to incorporate into outage readiness and execution.
  • Develop and mentor Sr, Project Managers and Supervisors at respective site level. People leader for Fleet Outage Services.
  • Single point of contact between station and Fleet for Fuel Services. Engage site stakeholders to build relationships and presence, and ensure alignment for support.
  • Ensure Condition Reports are generated, screened, and tracked for Refueling Services GAPs,
  • learnings, tooling/equipment issues, and performance issues.
    • IF CAP product is required, THEN own the CR for your respective site or delegate to qualified Sr, Project Manager.

Minimum Requirements
Minimum education required of the position.
B.S. degree in Engineering, Science, or a related discipline or equivalent experience. (Equivalent experience is defined as demonstrated success at the Supervisor or Sr, Project Manager level. A degree is very strongly preferred.)
Minimum experience required of the position.
8+ years of experience in nuclear power design, construction, maintenance, operations, production, management or equivalent.
Minimum knowledge, skills, and abilities required of the position.
Technical proficiency in nuclear reactor services or project management. Technical understanding of nuclear generation principles and operation. Outstanding communication, conflict management, people leadership, and change management skills. Proficiency with current computer business applications.

"ANSI/ANS-3. 1-1978 - 4.2.4 - 4.2.4 Technical Manager. For those nuclear power plants having a manager designated to supervise the on-site professional-technical groups, such managers, at the time of initial core loading or appointment of the position, whichever is later, shall have eight years in responsible positions related to power generation, of which three years shall be nuclear power plant experience. A maximum of four years of the remaining five years of experience may be fulfilled by satisfactory completion of academic or related technical training."
