Description
Join a fast-growing company that's transforming the industry! Financial Recovery Technologies (FRT) is a technology-based services firm that helps institutional investors such as hedge funds, mutual funds, custodians, and the like identify, file claims, and collect funds made available in securities class action settlements globally, and our best-in-class people and technology have made FRT a market leader.
As the Project Manager, you will drive cross-functional delivery of product initiatives from initiation through post-deployment. This role ensures projects are executed on time, stakeholders are aligned, and the organization is operationally ready at launch. The Project Manager partners closely with Product Management, Delivery, and key business teams to uphold the product lifecycle, manage readiness activities, and support high-impact programs. When needed, this person can also provide light requirements and story-writing support for small enhancements to prevent delivery slowdowns.
Specifically, as the Project Manager, your role will cover the following:
Project Management
  • End-to-End Project Tracking
    • Track projects from initiation through post-deployment, ensuring milestones, dependencies, risks, and deliverables are clearly managed and communicated.
    • Ensure the organization is operationally ready for launches, including support, training, and rollout coordination.
    • Ensure defined Product Lifecycle steps are followed and required deliverables, documentation, and readiness criteria are met prior to lifecycle progression and product launch.
  • Manage UAT, User Rollout and Operational Readiness
    • Act as the knowledge manager for UAT scenarios, maintaining clarity, version control, and accessibility.
    • Own and maintain team-specific rollout artifacts, ensuring consistency and readiness across impacted teams.
    • Coordinate post-deployment activities, including issue tracking, lessons learned, and transition to steady-state operations.
    • Ensure feedback loops are in place to inform continuous improvement.
  • Stakeholder Communication & Delivery Alignment
    • Communicate project status, risks, and resource needs regularly to the Delivery organization and senior stakeholders.
    • Serve as a central point of coordination between Product, Delivery, and Operational teams.

Drive Team Efficiency & Execution
  • Act as the "air traffic controller" for the team-ensuring nothing falls through the cracks and priorities remain clear
  • Increase the overall effectiveness of the Product team by ensuring team members stay aligned, organized, and accountable across initiatives
  • Proactively schedule and coordinate team meetings, working sessions, and checkpoints to keep work moving forward. Capture clear meeting notes, action items, and decisions, and drive follow-ups to ensure completion
  • Collect and synthesize feedback from stakeholders to surface issues, improve processes, and strengthen collaboration

Light Requirements & Story Writing (Nice to Have)
  • Partner with Business Analysts and Technical Product Managers to clarify scope and translate small enhancements into requirements and user stories when bandwidth is constrained-typically for incremental improvements and well-bounded changes
  • Draft and refine basic Jira stories, including user story statements, acceptance criteria, dependencies, and testing notes.

Our ideal candidate has:
  • 3-5 years of proven experience managing cross-functional projects in a product-driven, technology environment.
  • Strong understanding of product lifecycles and operational readiness requirements.
  • Familiarity with Agile, Scrum, or hybrid project management methodologies.
  • Strong documentation and knowledge management skills.
  • Experience supporting UAT, go-live readiness, and rollout planning.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence without authority.
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail and follow-through.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Intellectual curiosity, with a demonstrated commitment to continuous growth
  • Ability to understand business requirements at a practical level and write clear, actionable user stories for small enhancements is a plus.

What FRT Offers:
  • Competitive salary and bonus ($80,000 - $110,000 annual base salary)
  • Health, dental, vision
  • 401k (with company match)
  • Income protection plans (life, accidental death and dismemberment, short- and long-term disability) and access to a suite of voluntary benefits
  • Fun, smart, diverse colleagues
  • We are a hybrid company; in office, we offer:
    • Close to public transit (walking distance to Wellington T on Orange Line)
    • Free drinks and snacks
    • Free parking onsite
    • Free access to onsite gym

THIS POSITION WILL BE BASED IN OUR MEDFORD, MA HEADQUARTERS. LOCAL CANDIDATES ONLY, PLEASE.
