SUMMARY/OBJECTIVE:
Northern Bank is advancing its enterprise data capabilities to support improved decision‑making, operational efficiency, and responsible innovation. Enterprise Data Management (EDM) operates as a service‑oriented function, partnering across business and technology teams to deliver trusted data, reporting, and emerging data-driven capabilities.
We are seeking a Project Manager to support Enterprise Data Management initiatives across the organization. This role will work closely with the CDO and cross-functional stakeholders to coordinate and deliver projects related to data platforms, reporting, automation, and emerging capabilities. The ideal candidate will operate effectively in a fast-paced, regulated environment, providing structure, clarity, and execution support across multiple concurrent initiatives while ensuring alignment with enterprise priorities.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Serve as a central coordination point for enterprise data and enablement initiatives, supporting delivery across business, Enterprise Data Management, IT, and risk partners.
  • Apply strong organizational and communication skills to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining clear priorities, timelines, and deliverables.
  • Operate effectively in a regulated environment, ensuring projects align with governance standards, documentation expectations, and approval processes.
  • Facilitate clear and consistent communication across stakeholders, including status updates, risks, issues, and dependencies.
  • Support a culture of accountability, transparency, and collaboration across project teams.
  • Adapt to evolving technologies, tools, and requirements while maintaining consistent project delivery and execution standards.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Plan, coordinate, and manage project activities supporting data enablement efforts, including reporting, platform implementation, automation, and workflow improvements.
  • Partner with the CDO to translate strategic priorities into actionable project plans and delivery roadmaps.
  • Collaborate with developers, business analysts, data analysts, and IT teams to define scope, timelines, deliverables, and resource needs.
  • Track project progress, milestones, and dependencies, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with business objectives.
  • Identify, document, and manage risks, issues, and changes, escalating as appropriate to maintain project momentum.
  • Facilitate requirements discussions, working sessions, and project meetings to ensure clarity and alignment across stakeholders.
  • Maintain project documentation, including plans, status reports, meeting notes, and decision logs.
  • Support value tracking and reporting by coordinating with stakeholders to measure adoption, outcomes, and effectiveness of delivered solutions.
  • Ensure consistency in project execution practices across multiple initiatives within Enterprise Data Management.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
  • 5+ years of experience in project management, preferably within data, analytics, or technology-related initiatives.
  • Experience working in banking or financial services, with an understanding of regulatory and data control environments preferred.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Strong communication skills, with experience facilitating meetings, coordinating stakeholders, and providing clear status updates.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams, including business, IT, and analytics resources.
  • Ability to manage ambiguity and adapt to changing requirements and priorities.
  • Proficiency with project management tools and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, or a related field.
NICE TO HAVES (OR THINGS YOU’LL GET TO LEARN):
  • Experience supporting data platform or reporting initiatives (e.g., Power BI, data warehousing, or cloud-based tools).
  • Familiarity with Agile or hybrid project delivery methodologies.
  • Exposure to data governance, reporting standards, or analytics programs.
  • Experience working with enterprise data teams or data initiatives.
  • Project Management certification (PMP, Agile, or similar).
The annual base salary range for the Project Manager position is $78,000 - $110,000 per year
