Job description

Caring Transitions of Chesapeake is expanding and looking to hire a second team. We are seeking candidates with experience in one or more of the following areas: Online Sales, Packing and Unpacking for Moves, and Clear Outs. This position offers flexible hours, with pay starting at $14.00 per hour for those without experience, and increasing to $17.00 per hour for candidates with relevant experience. Position Description

Each team member will focus on one of three main areas:

  • Online Estate Sale Preparation: Ideal candidates should be comfortable using technology to enhance sale items and enjoy working in a team environment.
  • Packing and Unpacking for Senior Moves: Team members should know how to properly pack and unpack homes, ensuring all items are securely boxed.
  • Clear Outs: Team members must be willing to participate in clean outs at the end of sales. Physical stamina is essential, as some items may weigh 50 lbs or more.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Attention to Detail: Accurate labeling and proper packing are crucial.
  • Organization: Ability to manage time efficiently.
  • Photography: Ability to take great pictures for online sales, including using filters and adjusting for lighting.
  • Smartphone Applications: Proficiency in using modern cell phone inventory applications.
  • Writing: Skill in describing sales contents.
  • Antiques: Understanding of antiques or the ability to research them quickly.

Other Notes

Flexibility is key. Our ideal candidate will work between 15-30 hours per week, with core hours from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m or later. We accommodate appointments and other commitments. This position requires a lot of standing, so comfortable, supportive shoes are a must. We welcome experienced individuals with a passion for helping others.
