An exceptional specialty veterinary hospital, with a dedicated team, is seeking an experienced Medical Director to provide leadership, oversee specialty medical operations, and ensure superior patient and client care to members of its community. The ideal leader for this hospital is a veterinarian who is prepared to manage a team of doctors and medical staff, support advanced clinical services, and successfully oversee the clinical direction of the specialty practice.

This hospital is open to considering experienced veterinarians who are prepared to take on a senior leadership role, overseeing specialty medical operations and working collaboratively with the practice manager, specialists, emergency teams, and support staff.

➕Credentials & Qualifications That Are Required
  • Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine (DVM) or equivalent degree (VMD) from an AVMA accredited college or university.
  • Active state license in good standing, or currently pursuing licensure.
  • Current DEA license in good standing, or willing to obtain.
  • A commitment to veterinary excellence and upholding the Principles of Veterinary Medical Ethics.
  • Proven leadership experience, typically overseeing medical operations.
  • Advanced clinical experience in specialty medicine, or experience working within a specialty or referral hospital setting.
  • Board certification, residency training, or extensive specialty hospital leadership experience may be preferred depending on the needs of the hospital.
