Job description

Hypower is currently seeking an Airfield Superintendent to join our team.

The Senior Project Manager within the Airfield Group is responsible for the financial performance of the assigned project. Manage and oversee all aspects related to project management, financial performance, PRODUCTION tracking, and forecasting, scheduling, and change order management. Capable of writing and reviewing contracts, proposals and scopes of work. Establish and maintain outstanding customer relationships.  Ensure project goals are met.  Execute best practices and adhere to policies and procedures.

Essential duties and responsibilities:

  • Financial Acumen. Full responsibility of the financials for the Project. Good understanding of costs, revenue, billings, projections, margin, gains, fades, commitments, AR, AP, etc. Proficient in forecasting cost to complete for a project. Spectrum accounting software knowledge a is plus.
  • Estimating and Change Orders. Proficient in change order estimates. Identifying scope and scope gaps.  Coordinating vendor and sub quotes and scopes.  Negotiating change orders with customers. Accubid Change Order experience and HCSS HeavyBid or Bid2 Win estimating software knowledge is a plus.
  • Proficient in scheduling of our work and integration with the GC's schedule. Ability to use scheduling software (Microsoft Project, P6). Understanding work breakdown structures and project phasing. Work closely with Project Superintendent to ensure deadlines are met, and manpower is coherent with budgets.
  • Leadership skills. Effective management of the Customers, Vendor, Sub and team.
  • Process and Procedures. Must be comfortable with a system that has documented processes and procedures for all tasks. Use of technology platforms for financials, project management, etc.
  • Comfortable with establishing and maintaining customer relations. Understanding the balance between protecting our Company and maintaining relationships with clients.
  • Ability to delegate effectively. Hold effective meetings.  Foster positive relationships with employees and clients. Embrace and promote corporate culture.  Push for continuous improvement. Desire for personal growth.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 10 years of work experience as a Project Manager.
  • Experience with working unit price projects.
  • Proven experience managing projects larger than 10M.
  • Proficient in software (Word, Excel, Outlook, Smartsheets)
  • Proficient using Procore.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrate and uphold all Hypower's core values, which are relationships, professionalism, results, continuous improvement and community.
  • Must have the ability to travel throughout the southeast US.
  • Electrical background preferred.
