Job Details

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Permanent Superintendent to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will oversee all aspects of our custom home construction projects, ensuring that work is completed on time, within budget, and to our high‑quality standards. This role will require you to manage the day-to-day operations on the construction site, coordinate contractors, and maintain a safe and efficient work environment.

Responsibilities
  1. Oversee all stages of project life cycle including the management of quality control, site safety, and adherence to construction schedules.
  2. Coordinate and supervise all construction activities, ensuring tasks are being carried out according to the project plan.
  3. Direct all field personnel to achieve completion of the project on schedule, within budget, with quality workmanship that conforms to original plans and specifications.
  4. Schedule and manage subcontractors, consultants, and vendors to ensure timely completion of projects.
  5. Prepare, schedule, and supervise completion of a final punch list.
  6. Promote job site safety, encourage safe work practices, and rectify job site hazards immediately.
  7. Maintain an organized and clean job site, including the construction office.
  8. Ensure all project-related documentation is accurate, up-to-date, and compliant with company policies and legal regulations.
  9. Regularly communicate project progress, issues, and resolutions to all stakeholders.
  10. Provide leadership and foster a positive work environment that encourages teamwork and mutual respect.
Qualifications
  1. A minimum of 5 years of experience in a superintendent role, preferably in the custom home construction industry.
  2. Proven track record of successfully completing construction projects from start to finish.
  3. Extensive knowledge of construction procedures, equipment, OSHA guidelines, and building codes.
  4. Exceptional ability to read and understand construction documents, blueprints, and specifications.
  5. Proficient in scheduling and project management software.
  6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a customer service focus.
  7. Strong leadership and team management abilities.
  8. Exceptional problem‑solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
  9. Ability to make necessary decisions in high‑stress situations.
  10. Bachelor's degree in construction management, architecture, engineering, or related field preferred.
  11. Must possess a valid driver's license and have reliable transportation.
  12. Certified Construction Manager (CCM) or equivalent certification would be considered an asset.
