Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced psychiatrist to join our dynamic team in an in-patient setting. The ideal candidate will provide comprehensive psychiatric care, including evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment, to clients with a wide range of mental health disorders. The psychiatrist will work collaboratively with our team of psychologists, social workers, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized treatment plans.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct psychiatric evaluations and assessments for clients in an in-patient setting.
  • Provide support for outpatient services.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
  • Prescribe and manage medication as necessary.
  • Provide psychotherapy and counseling as part of treatment plans.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to ensure comprehensive care.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care.
  • Participate in case conferences, treatment planning meetings, and other collaborative efforts.
  • Stay current with developments in child and adolescent psychiatry and participate in continuing education activities.
Qualifications
  • Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited medical school.
  • Completed residency in Psychiatry.
  • Valid medical license to practice in Georgia.
  • Valid DEA license in Georgia.
  • Strong clinical skills in the assessment and treatment of child and adolescent mental health disorders.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Commitment to providing high-quality, compassionate care.
  • Must be on site THREE times per week.
  • Must be willing to commute to Statesboro, GA.
