Home Health Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA)

On The Road Position | Pediatric Home Health

Reliant Healthcare Group is dedicated to unlocking the full potential in every child. We are seeking passionate Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPAs) to join our growing pediatric home health team across the greater Houston area.

Our Intake Team thoughtfully builds caseloads in areas close to where you live, helping minimize drive time while maximizing work-life balance. This role offers the opportunity to deliver meaningful, child-centered care in a supportive and collaborative environment under the supervision of a licensed SLP.

Compensation

$35-$40/hr. per visit (30 minutes) | Full-time opportunities available

What You'll Do

  • Implement individualized speech-language therapy treatment plans with measurable goals under the supervision of a licensed SLP
  • Engage pediatric patients using fun, age-appropriate games and activities to promote participation and progress
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to ensure high-quality, consistent care
  • Accurately document patient progress in a timely manner

Who We're Looking For

  • Active SLPA certification and valid Texas state license
  • Experience working with pediatric populations preferred
  • Enthusiastic, patient-centered professional comfortable working in home-based settings

Patient Population

You'll work with children (ages 0-21) with speech and language delays, autism spectrum disorder, feeding challenges, fluency disorders, and social communication needs.

Physical Requirements

  • Maintain various postures (kneeling, sitting, standing, squatting) for extended periods
  • Walk and run for extended periods
  • Transition independently from sitting to standing
  • Utilize quick body movements as required by behavior intervention plans
  • Lift a minimum of 25 pounds
  • Transfer, position, and transport patients and adaptive equipment
  • Read written communication via computer, electronic devices, and paper
  • Perform data collection using electronic devices
