What We Offer

The Maintenance & Reliability Manageris responsible forexecuting our global asset management strategy and ensuring theoptimalperformance of our production facilities. Lead a maintenance departmentcomprising5 professionals, with 2 direct reports. This role is viewed as a "dual" role with the expectation that 70% of the time is spent on reliability improvements and 30% of time is spent to act as Manager of the maintenance team. Responsible for improving andmaintainingreliability, operability, and mechanical integrity of plant equipment and site facilities in a cost-efficient manner.

The payrangefor this role is $110,998-$158,539 annually. Additionally, it includesannual bonus potential, generous paid time off, 401K with company match, retirement contribution, tuition reimbursement, parental leave and medical, dental and vision coverage (no waiting period).

Major Responsibilities

  • Implement and manage maintenance and reliability strategies to support production and business objectives

  • Develop and manage the departmental budget

  • Share technical best practices at the site and within the international Covestro network

  • Continuously improve asset availability in collaboration with internal stakeholders through KPIs and process optimization

  • Resolve complex technical issues using Root Cause Analysis

  • Ensure safety and regulatory compliance

  • Implement standards, systems, and KPIs (asset availability targets) foroptimalassetutilization

  • Develop and inspire maintenance and reliability professionals

  • Manage external partners and contractors

  • Foster a culture of safety, ownership, and continuous improvement

  • Site expert for SAP PM and TMM

  • Follow the site's management of change process when implementing improvements

  • Provides technical support to the production and maintenance teams in a 24/7 manufacturing environment

  • Implement Preventative (PM)/ Predictive Maintenance (PdM) techniques/technologies todeterminefunctional status of equipment. Based on PM/PdMfindings, make recommendations on changes/modifications to equipment asset policies and stay informed of the latest PM/PdMtechniques and tools and recommend applications.

  • Follow up on unexpected failures todetermineif inspection/analysis techniques require modification to provide the properindicationof potential future failure.

  • Collaborate with engineering and equipment experts todeterminerequired changes to FMEA/RCM/EMP

  • Has up-to-date knowledge about relevant internal regulations,alignsand communicates on site level toassurecompliance with company policies in the field of asset reliability.

  • Identifyand provide resource needs and skillsetsrequiredto achieveavailabilitytargets and goals.

  • Assures uniformity in technical standards and technical operations at the site.

  • Has functional responsibility forpeopledevelopment in the site's reliability/maintenance team.

  • Define and implement the maintenance plan including preventive and predictive maintenance plans, in line with the agreed manufacturing plan,in order toensure maximum availability of the production facilitiesonthe short and the long term.

  • Manage andmonitorthe execution of the maintenance plan and take corrective actionsin order toachieve the results.

  • Analyze the plant anddeterminethe criticality of installed equipment. For critical equipment, perform Failure Mode & Effect Analysis (FMEA), equipment specific for high critical andgeneric formedium critical.

  • Identifyand prioritize performance killers and cost drivers related to equipment reliability by evaluating the performance of the plant, using statistical methods, RCA (Root Cause Analysis)and FMEA (Failure Mode & Effect Analysis)

  • Propose and initiate solutions toeliminateactual and potential performance killers and discuss with stakeholders (maintenance, production, business, etc.). Ensure handover toappropriate workprocess.

What You Offer

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelorsdegree in an Engineering field

  • At least 10 years of experiencein manufacturing/production in a maintenance or technical support role

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in the Chemical industry

  • Experience in reliability improvement is strongly preferred.

  • Experience in using SAP maintenance is strongly preferred.

Knowledge & Skills:

  • A demonstrated record of strong leadership, teamwork skills, change management, strategic thinking,planningand organizing, decision making, and root cause analysis
