Supervisor, Maintenance & Engineering

We are partnering with a highly respected manufacturer seeking a Supervisor of Maintenance & Engineering to lead reliability, maintenance, and engineering operations within a highly automated production environment. This role will play a critical part in maximizing equipment uptime, driving continuous improvement initiatives, and supporting new industrialization and automation projects.

What You’ll Be Doing
Maintenance & Reliability Leadership
- Lead and develop maintenance personnel to maximize equipment uptime and operational performance
- Drive preventive, predictive, and prescriptive maintenance programs
- Coordinate machine and facility repairs with minimal production disruption
- Provide hands-on troubleshooting and technical support to maintenance teams
- Support emergency response and on-call maintenance activities as needed
Engineering & Automation Support
- Lead engineering technicians and manufacturing engineering resources
- Troubleshoot high-speed automated equipment and implement long-term corrective actions
- Identify opportunities to improve reliability, throughput, and operational efficiency
- Lead capital equipment and continuous improvement projects from concept through implementation
- Support commissioning and startup of new automated equipment and manufacturing lines
Project & Team Leadership
- Set priorities and coordinate workloads across maintenance and engineering teams
- Track projects and maintenance activities to ensure timely completion
- Develop team members through coaching, mentoring, and performance management
- Manage vendor relationships and coordinate outside technical support when necessary
What We’re Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related technical field
- 10+ years of engineering experience within a manufacturing environment
- Strong background with:
- High-speed indexing equipment
- Pick-and-place automation
- Continuous motion machinery
- Robotic assembly systems
- Experience leading maintenance and engineering teams
- Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills
- Experience supporting industrialization or new equipment integration projects
- Proficiency with AutoCAD, Inventor, and/or SolidWorks
- Familiarity with maintenance systems, SAP, and production reporting tools
Nice to Have
- Understanding of PLC ladder logic and automation controls
- Exposure to machine vision systems
