Job description

Snowmaker I

The Snowmaker I is involved with making man-made snow for ski runs at an introductory level.

Education / Experience/ Skills And Ability Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Must possess a valid drivers' license.
  • Must be available to work nights including weekends on a flexible basis.
  • Works Mid-October to late December
  • Previous heavy equipment operation experience preferred.
  • Excellent English communication skills required.
  • Excellent customer service and organizational skills required.
  • Ability to work under pressure, multi-task and prioritize tasks.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Involved with the set up and tear down of snowmaking equipment.
  • Responsible for the safe and proper operation of snowmaking equipment.
  • Shoveling snow off of equipment regularly.
  • Relay crucial information to shift supervisor.
  • Ability to work in a high alpine environment.
  • Capacity to learn snow mobile operation and procedures

Marginal Duties & Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and cooperate with other departments as necessary in the completion of the above essential duties.
  • Provide information and answer questions about the resort to resort guests.
  • Any other duties that may contribute to the cleanliness, orderliness and overall efficiency of the entire operation and all of the tasks contained therein.
