Skilled LMT -- Join a North Austin Practice Where the Owners Still Work the Tables

Live Love Relax

Austin, TX • On-site

Part-time

Posted 21 days ago

Job description

Company Description

You didn't become a massage therapist to punch a clock at a corporate spa.

Live Love Relax is a therapist-owned, woman- and minority-led practice in North Austin — built by therapists who still practice, for therapists who want to build a real career. We know what burns you out, what fills your cup, and what it takes to have longevity in this field. That's the practice we've created: one where you're treated as the skilled professional you are, and where your work genuinely changes lives.

If you've been looking for a place that feels less like a job and more like a home base for your practice — you've found it.

Job Description

Why You'll Love It Here

  • Protect Your Body & Career Longevity: Part-time schedules (8–14 hrs/week per therapist) so you finish your career with healthy hands and shoulders. Sustainability is built into the schedule — not an afterthought.
  • Top-of-Market Pay, Fully Transparent: Earn $31.75–$52+/hr as a 1099 contractor. Our pay levels follow a clear, published performance rubric — you always know exactly what it takes to move up. No politics, no guessing games.
  • A Team That Actually Has Your Back: One-on-one mentoring with owners who still work tables, coaching available, and a warm front-desk team that handles the scheduling, intake, and logistics so you can focus on the work.
  • A Space That Feels Like a Retreat: Boho-style rooms with plants, natural light, state-of-the-art hydraulic tables, premium linens, and aromatherapy. Your clients exhale the moment they walk in — and so will you.
  • Premium Event Work (Optional): Wedding parties, corporate wellness events, and VIP bookings starting at $50/hr with a guaranteed 2-hour minimum.
  • Real Growth, Not Vague Promises: Quarterly performance reviews, objective raises tied to measurable metrics, and clearly defined pay levels. You'll always know where you stand and what's next.
  • Fun Perks: Generous discounts on massages and products for you and your family.  First to attend new CE's the owners put out, for Free, and still get credit for them.
Qualifications
  • Experience: 2+ years as a licensed Massage Therapist preferred (exceptional newer therapists will be considered).
  • Credentials: Active Texas Massage Therapy License (LMT) and current Massage Liability Insurance.
  • Core Modalities: Swedish and Deep Tissue are essential.
    • Bonus if you're trained in Prenatal, Myofascial Release (John Barnes), Rolfing, sports/medical, cupping, or aromatherapy — and we love therapists who keep learning.
  • The Intangibles: Warm, grounded, and genuinely professional. You take ownership of your client relationships, communicate well with teammates, and care about client outcomes — not just the clock.
  • Team Fit: The majority of our clientele requests female practitioners for comfort and privacy during treatment, and this role joins our team of female therapists.
  • Reliable Transportation: Helpful for optional mobile event work.

Additional Information

Live Love Relax is a woman- and minority-owned practice rooted in diversity, inclusion, and mutual respect — among our team and with every client who walks through our door.

We hire selectively. We're not looking to fill a slot on a schedule — we're looking for a long-term teammate who wants to grow with us, deepen her craft, and be part of something that actually matters.

If that sounds like you, apply today. We read every application personally.
