Job description

Amazon is seeking a driven, creative, and highly proactive PR Manager to lead communications for Alexa+ AI Devices. In this role, you will lead end-to-end PR strategy and execution for Alexa+ AI Devices, including Amazon Echo and Bee device launches, ensuring coordinated messaging across all channels while managing multiple hardware reviews simultaneously.
You'll develop and drive proactive momentum activity campaigns that keep Alexa+ Devices top-of-mind beyond launch moments, building sustained media interest and customer engagement throughout the year. This is not a GTM-only role-this role requires a leader with passion, creativity, bias for action, and a relentless focus on driving results that map to our business and reputational objectives.
You will craft compelling innovation thought leadership and storytelling that positions Alexa+ Devices as category leaders in consumer AI hardware, translating complex hardware and AI capabilities into narratives that resonate with media and customers. Through strategic media relations and proactive pitching, you'll build and maintain relationships with key technology, consumer electronics, and smart home media contacts (across press and influencers), securing high-impact coverage that drives business results.
As part of this role, you'll build trust with cross-functional (and geographically dispersed) partners, including product, engineering, marketing, and executive leadership teams. You will develop integrated communications strategies that align with business objectives and product roadmaps and manage agency relationships and external PR resources as needed.

- Bachelor's degree
- Proven track record of securing high-impact media coverage in top-tier technology and consumer publications.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with ability to translate technical concepts for broad audiences.
- Demonstrated ability to develop strategic communications plans that drive business results.
- Extreme proactivity-a desire to drive campaigns and storytelling, outside of launch moments.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience managing complex product launches and multiple concurrent hardware review programs.
- Ability to earn trust with senior, executive-level leaders.
- Experience in consumer technology communications, particularly in smart home, voice AI, or hardware categories.
- Demonstrated track record of developing successful proactive PR campaigns and thought leadership programs.
