Microsoft's Cloud Analyst Relations (AR) team is seeking a senior AR leader to drive strategic engagement with top-tier industry analysts across Cloud & AI priority areas.
This role sits within the Azure AR team, shaping how analysts understand and evaluate Azure's leadership in mission-critical, regulated, and next-generation operational environments. You will partner closely with engineering, product, marketing, and sales teams to inform analyst perception, improve positioning in rated research, and amplify Azure's differentiated value.

Responsibilities
Analyst Strategy & Engagement
  • Lead end-to-end analyst relations strategy for:
    • Sovereign initiatives
    • Enterprise workload migration and modernization
    • Agentic cloud operations and platform intelligence
    • Hybrid & Edge computing
    • Build and manage relationships with key analysts across Gartner, Forrester, IDC, and emerging firms
    • Drive proactive engagement plans, including briefings, inquiries, and advisory sessions with Microsoft senior leaders

Rated Research Leadership
  • Own strategy and execution for participation in:
    • Magic Quadrants, Waves, and MarketScapes

  • Partner with cross-functional teams to:
    • Develop clear, differentiated narratives that position Microsoft as Leader
    • Ensure consistent high-quality submissions
    • Identify and address product and perception gaps

Narrative Development
  • Help inform Azure's positioning as:
    • The trusted cloud for sovereign, regulated, and enterprise workloads
    • The platform of choice for enterprise-scale modernization
    • A leader in agentic, AI-driven cloud operations
    • Translate complex platform capabilities into clear, analyst-relevant messaging
    • Ensure alignment between AR strategy and broader business priorities

Insight & Influence
  • Synthesize analyst feedback into actionable guidance for:
    • Product roadmap prioritization
    • Marketing narratives
    • Sales enablement
    • Advise senior leaders on analyst sentiment, risks, and opportunities

Qualifications
Required/minimum qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Communications, Business, Marketing, Finance, or related field AND 3+ years experience in communications, public relations, investor relations, analyst relations, product management/planning, research, or program management
    • OR equivalent experience.

Additional or preferred qualifications
  • Bachelors Degree in Communications, Business, Marketing, Finance, or related field AND 8+ years experience in communications, public relations, investor relations, analyst relations, product management/planning, research, or program management
    • OR equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years in Analyst Relations experience.
  • 3+ years influencing analyst perception and outcomes in rated research.
  • Effective executive communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to operate at both strategic and execution levels in a dynamic environment.
  • Experience using AI tools to improve AR effectiveness and operational excellence.
  • Knowledge of:
    • Cloud infrastructure and enterprise workloads.
    • Regulatory, compliance, and sovereignty considerations in cloud.
    • Operational platforms, automation, and emerging AI-driven operations.
  • Experience with:
    • Sovereign cloud models (public sector, regulated industries, data residency).
    • Enterprise application ecosystems (SAP, Oracle, VMware, etc.).
    • Observability, automation, and AI-enabled operations.

Analyst Relations IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $106,400.00 - $203,600.00 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $137,600.00 - $222,600.00 per year.
