What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a reliability engineer, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Reliability Engineer, you need a solid background in engineering principles, data analysis, and failure mode analysis, often supported by a degree in engineering or a related field. Familiarity with reliability software (such as ReliaSoft or Minitab), root cause analysis tools, and certifications like Certified Reliability Engineer (CRE) are commonly required.
