Job description

Position Description
A graduate student enrolled in an institution of the Texas Tech University System employed up to 20 hours per week to support faculty in the delivery of rehabilitation science courses and related instructional activities, including quizzes, drills, or laboratory sections.
Major/Essential Functions
  • Available to commute to the TTUHSC campus to perform duties in person.
  • Completing and submitting weekly work activity reports to the assigned supervisor.
  • Assisting faculty in the teaching of one or more rehabilitation science courses.
  • Delivering lectures or leading class discussions.
  • Aiding with laboratory activities and demonstrations.
  • Grading assignments, examinations, and other course assessments.
  • Proctoring examinations.
  • Developing and updating course materials.
  • Holding office hours and responding to student inquiries.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Prior teaching experience in rehabilitation science or a related discipline.
  • Clinical experience in rehabilitation science or a related area.
  • Current certification or licensure in athletic training, audiology, physical therapy, occupational therapy, or speech-language pathology.
  • Currently enrolled in the Ph.D. in Rehabilitation Science program at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center (TTUHSC).
  • Graduate degree in Rehabilitation Science or a related field.
