Job description

The Registration Representative performs a variety of data entry and general registration functions for outpatient departments in the facility. It is the responsibility of the registration representative to accurately collect patient demographic and insurance data to ensure appropriate reimbursement and claim filing. This role will utilize technology to accurately quote and collect patient liabilities that have been identified by the insurance company. This position is responsible to follow all registration and admitting policies and procedures. This position performs a variety of admitting/administrative tasks to arrange the admission of patients of all ages to the Hospital. This role acts as a resource in providing all customers with the highest level of service. This role enhances the hospital experience for patients, families and visitors by providing appropriate hospitality and concierge services.

Acts as the initial greeter for all patients/visitors entering the facility.Completes all registrations in a professional, accurate and customer-oriented timely manner.Obtains information from patient health insurance or managed care identification cardResponsible for distributing to patients or their representative any required handouts.Maintains forms in all printers at all times, which may require lifting or carrying cases of forms. Must have knowledge of all software and hardware computerized equipment.May be required to work at another location as needed and team members are responsible for their own transportation.Assist in other duties as assigned to support the operational needs of the department and organization.May be required to remain on campus immediately before, during, and after severe weather and/or disasters.
