Cath Lab Technician Or Special Procedures Tech

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Cath Lab Technician or Special Procedures Tech to join our dynamic medical team. This role involves collaborating with physicians to execute both diagnostic and therapeutic cardiac procedures within the Cath Lab. The ideal candidate will have a comprehensive understanding of cardiac procedures and demonstrate proficiency with minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist physicians in performing a variety of cardiac procedures.
  • Maintain and operate medical imaging equipment with precision.
  • Ensure patient safety and comfort throughout procedures.
  • Accurately document procedure details and patient data.
  • Collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Education: Graduate of an accredited program in Radiologic Technology, Health Sciences, or Invasive Cardiovascular Technology. Candidates credentialed as RCIS by CCI since 2013 or earlier are exempt from formal education requirements.
  • Licenses/Certifications: Must hold certification in Basic or Advanced Life Support and possess one of the following:
    • Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) by Cardiovascular Credentialing International.
    • Registered Radiology Technologist (ARRT-R/MRT) or Registered Radiological Technologist in Cardiovascular-Interventional Technology (ARRT-CV) by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.

Work Schedule:

The role involves four ten-hour shifts from 0700 to 1730 on variable days. The position also requires being on-call for 10-12 days within a five-week period, with a 30-minute response time for 24-hour department coverage.
