Job Purpose

As a leading global material technology company, which develops innovative technologies and deals with high value materials, we need to pay attention to how to protect our people and (in)tangible assets.ย  We are vigilant on the way we are dealing with third parties in our business and want to be compliant with all applicable legislation in the security domain.

This position will be located at our plant in Pasadena, TX, and have a split responsibility of 60% North America Region Security, and 40% Bayport Plant Security.

The position can be a hybrid work arrangement, with minimum 3 days in the office, 2 days work remote.ย  It is not a fully remote position.

  • Implements security measures and protocols to mitigate risks and respond to threats.
Your Key Accountabilities
  • Delivers expert work in Security with high quality and timeliness, applying best practices and standards.
  • Owns complex tasks in Risk Analysis, security operations management, producing accurate outputs and identifying risks or anomalies proactively.
  • Analyzes problems, recommends options, and implements improvements in methods, tools, or data flows.
  • Collaborates with adjacent teams and stakeholders, communicating insights and recommendations clearly.
  • Mentors less experienced colleagues, reviewing deliverables and elevating team standards.
  • Coordinates crossfunctional adoption of disciplinespecific enhancements ensuring consistent application and measurable performance gains.
  • Leads, develops and executes several security or privacy domains on a global scale or a regional (multi-country) responsibility on security.
  • Manage the security setup at the site where the RSM is in charge of security, following the strategic planning and the implementation of security concepts, in line with the corporate security strategy and TOM. Lead operational securityย across North America sites in scope, implementing global security strategies, policies, and the Corporate Security Target Operating Model (TOM) in alignment with local legislation and business needs.
  • Conduct regular security risk assessments and audits, ensuring compliance with national regulations and internal standards; serve as primary point of contact for business units on security matters.
  • Ensuring a secureย supply chain by training employees and conducting audits. Organization of appropriate security measures and responsibility for the implementation of the corresponding specifications.
  • Proposing and overseeing security related projects in and across regional sites, thereby ensuring a harmonized and consistent approach of security within the regional sites in line with local legislation and corporate guidelines and TOM principles; assisting the local security responsible with the translation and implementation of global policies, guidelines and multi-site initiatives; leading projects to increase security awareness
Who we are looking for

EDUCATION:

  • Batchelor or Master's degree - preferably with a technical background and an additional training security related ( in Law enforcement, Defense or Intelligence services)

TECHNICAL SKILLS:

  • You have a 10-year work experience in a security related domain, preferable in a multi- country context;
  • Experience in a high tech industrial environment is a plus;
  • Project management experience of at least 3 years in a technical/information security domain;
  • Organizational and Technical security management - an ASIS certification is a plus;
  • Demonstrated experience in implementingย risk management frameworks aligned with ISO 31000 principles; formal training or certification (e.g. ISO 31000 Risk Manager) is an advantage.
  • Working knowledge ofย information security management systems (ISMS) based on ISO/IEC 27001, particularly as it relates to information classification, physical security, and privacy and third-party data handling and creating awareness.
  • Familiarity with transport and logistics security standards such as TAPA (Transported Asset Protection Association), including TSR or FSR requirements,
  • Travel in US and Canada quarterly; ย abroad occasionally.
