Job description
The Global Facilities Security Manager is responsible for the strategic ownership, governance, development, and continuous improvement of Crane Worldwide Logistics' global facility security program. This position establishes and maintains enterprise-wide physical security standards, policies, procedures, audit frameworks, technology standards, and security performance requirements designed to protect employees, visitors, facilities, cargo, information, and company assets.
The Global Facilities Security Manager serves as the corporate authority for facility security and provides leadership, guidance, and oversight to Regional Security Managers, Site Security Points of Contact (POCs), Operations, Real Estate, Facilities, IT, and external security providers. The role ensures consistent implementation of security standards across all offices, warehouses, stations, gateways, secure yards, and customer-facing facilities worldwide.
Essential Job Functions
Global Facility Security Program Ownership
- Own and maintain all global facility security policies, standards, procedures, and minimum security requirements.
- Develop enterprise physical security strategies aligned with business objectives and emerging threat risks.
- Establish global facility security governance and compliance programs.
- Define physical security standards applicable to warehouses, offices, gateways, secure yards, and high-risk facilities.
- Ensure alignment with CTPAT, TAPA FSR, ISO 28000, customer requirements, and internal security frameworks.
- Develop multi-year physical security roadmaps and investment strategies.
Regional Security Manager Leadership & Governance
- Provide functional leadership and oversight to Regional Security Managers.
- Establish regional security objectives, standards, KPIs, and performance expectations.
- Create standardized site security audit methodologies and compliance metrics.
- Conduct regular reviews of regional security performance and risk trends.
- Ensure consistent execution of enterprise security programs across all regions.
- Coordinate regional security priorities, initiatives, and corrective action programs.
Site Security Audit Program Ownership
- Own the Global Site Security Audit Program.
- Develop risk-based audit schedules and audit criteria.
- Establish standardized audit scoring methodologies.
- Oversee corrective action management and remediation tracking.
- Validate effectiveness of audit findings and risk mitigation activities.
- Maintain enterprise audit reporting and executive dashboards.
- Conduct targeted reviews of high-risk, customer-critical, or incident-affected locations.
Guard Force & Vendor Management
- Establish global standards for contract security services.
- Develop approved guard force post orders and operating standards.
- Create service-level expectations and performance scorecards.
- Oversee global vendor governance and vendor risk management activities.
- Support procurement and contract negotiations related to security services.
- Ensure consistent security vendor compliance across all regions.
Incident Management & Investigations Support
- Provide facility security subject matter expertise during security incidents.
- Support major theft investigations and facility-related security events.
- Participate in after-action reviews and corrective action development.
- Partner with GSOC, Corporate Investigations, and Regional Security Managers during significant events.
- Ensure lessons learned are incorporated into security standards and procedures.
Crisis Management & Business Continuity
- Support global crisis management and business continuity programs.
- Ensure facility preparedness requirements are incorporated into site security programs.
- Participate in crisis response events, exercises, and tabletop simulations.
- Establish physical security readiness standards for critical facilities.
- Coordinate facility security support during natural disasters, civil unrest, workplace violence events, and other crises.
KPI Management & Executive Reporting
Develop and maintain enterprise reporting for:
- Audit completion rates
- Corrective action closure rates
- Physical security compliance scores
- CCTV coverage effectiveness
- Access control compliance
- Guard force performance
- Incident trends
- Security technology uptime
- Risk assessment completion
- Regional performance comparisons
- Provide monthly and quarterly executive updates to Global Security leadership.
Physical Requirements

- Familiarity with TAPA, C TPAT, ISO, or similar security frameworks.
- Experience integrating threat intelligence and OSINT into operational workflows.
