Regular meetings and joint planning sessions are common to ensure everyone is aligned on sales goals and regional market trends. This collaborative approach not only helps in meeting targets but also fosters a unified strategy for customer satisfaction and business growth.

At Aegis, your success in the field helps equip clinicians with the insights they need to make better decisions and improve patient care. You’ll step into a high-impact territory role designed for a driven, consultative seller who thrives on winning new business, building trusted relationships, and creating momentum in a fast-moving healthcare market.

Why Aegis?

  • At Aegis, you’ll represent a national leader in healthcare and forensic laboratory sciences with a mission of helping clinicians make better decisions through science-driven testing and consulting services.
  • Founded in 1990, Aegis delivers evidence-based, clinically actionable insights in areas such as medication compliance, substance use, and drug-drug interactions, giving you the opportunity to grow your sales career while making a meaningful impact in patient care and representing a company built on Integrity, Accountability, Innovation, Teamwork, Respect, and Excellence.

Role Overview:

  • This territory includes San Jose, Fremont, Monterey, Gilroy, Santa Cruz and more.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Achieve and exceed sales quotas by ethically executing Aegis’s sales process, retaining and growing existing accounts, and securing profitable new business across the assigned territory.
  • Drive territory growth through cold calling, prospecting, and strategic sales and marketing plans that align with company priorities and Area Sales Manager direction.
  • Deliver value in every customer interaction by understanding client needs, promoting additional services, and ensuring a high level of support across Client Services, Laboratory, Billing, Reporting, and other functional areas.
  • Represent Aegis in the market by attending national and regional trade shows, conventions, and meetings, while staying informed on industry trends, new services, and developments in the drug-testing and compliance landscape.
  • Prepare professional presentations, reports, and proposals, and maintain effective communication with leadership, colleagues, and cross-functional teams to support strong execution and collaboration.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree with at least two (2) years of sales experience is strongly preferred; candidates with a high school diploma and at least three (3) years of documented, successful sales experience will also be considered.
  • Experience in diagnostics, healthcare, or medical device industries is preferred, along with knowledge of the managed care landscape.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills, with the ability to develop and maintain effective client and internal partnerships.
  • Strong organizational and technical skills, including effective time management, the ability to prioritize sales and administrative responsibilities, proficiency in Microsoft Office and Excel, and experience using a CRM to manage sales activity.
  • Ability to travel throughout the assigned geography daily, including overnight travel as needed (up to 50%), and a valid driver’s license that meets insurability requirements.
  • Ideal candidates should reside in the territory.

Our Total Rewards Package includes uncapped commission, base salary of $70-75k + 3 month bridge + quarterly bonus opportunities + full benefits (medical, dental, vision, STD/LTD, 401K, Life Insurance, and PTO). On target first year combined earnings for this territory is approximately $90-100k.
