HOW YOU MAKE AN IMPACT
Professionally manage all sales activity in the assigned territory for the Thin Film product line(s) including Semiconductor focused components, thin film deposition systems and services. The Regional Sales Manager's (RSM) activities will focus on revenue and gross margin growth that meet or exceed the Annual Operating Plan. The Regional Sales Manager (RSM) will be the expert on Ferrotec's core competencies, products, and services. The RSM will own and be fully accountable for all customer-facing activities required for success with direct customers and customers supported through channel partners in the assigned territory. In addition, the RSM is responsible for managing a diverse group of manufacturers' representatives supporting regional sales activities.

WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE
  • Primary responsibility is to manage all sales activities and internal resources to support meeting or exceeding targeted revenue and margin goals in the assigned territory.
  • Sell solutions that provide value for our customers and support revenue and gross margin growth objective.
  • Maintain existing business with established account base while focusing sales efforts on new business development opportunities.
  • Manage key OEM accounts in the territory for the assigned product(s). Establish and maintain strong relationships at the key accounts. Have a complete understanding of the key customers' needs.
  • Manager strategic fabrication accounts and opportunities within the territory assigned for process systems sales. Including knowing/developing key customer relationships, short- and long-term tool requirements, resources, and system upgrades.
  • Manage strategic compound semiconductor & semiconductor accounts and opportunities within the territory assigned for process system sales. Including knowing/developing key customer relationships, short- and long-term tool requirements, resources, and system upgrades.
  • Direct and support the sales channel (territory manufacturers reps or Ferrotec Field Sales personnel) to grow revenue and develop new business opportunities.
  • Work with the Director of Sales to develop and execute the territory and key account strategies.
  • Develop and execute Key Account Strategies for each key account. Owning the opportunity cycle starting from lead and opportunity development.
  • Acting as the customer advocate, clearly communicate the customers' requirements and expectations to the organization - product performance requirements, product specifications, logistics requirements, packaging, etc.
  • Generate proposals that meet our customers' objectives and give Ferrotec the best chance to win.
  • Working closely with the customer base, generating and deliver detailed revenue forecasts into the monthly and annual business planning cycles.
  • Maintain the CRM database (Salesforce experience preferred) with discipline and commitment.
  • Update the organization with business status and pertinent news "of interest" on key accounts by developing and continually updated key account plans.
  • Know and sell Ferrotec's capabilities and differentiation (The Ferrotec Value Proposition).
  • Execute the territory trade show strategy - booth set-up, staffing and disassembly.
  • Works with Marketing, Design Engineering, Manufacturing, and R&D to provide input for new product requirements and new applications - and facilitates the new product introductions.
  • Control territory sales expenses at or less than the expense budget approved in the AOP.

WHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent and 5+ years' experience as a Regional Sales Manager.
