Regional Sales Manager - Southeast
Summary:
The Regional Sales Manager must effectively manage all sales activities in the assigned territory. The ideal candidate will maintain existing global, national, and local accounts while further developing and growing a determined set of new customers within the territory. The desired candidate will be able to promote SAMSON Controls solutions and after-sales services. A keen understanding of control valves in the chemical, power, pulp and paper, automotive and food amp; beverage industries in this territory is a must.
Job Functions:
  • Develop, build, and maintain lasting relationships with customers.
  • Work closely with inside sales team, manage customer relationships and develop proposal strategies.
  • Work appropriately with all additional support teams including customer service, after sales, accounting and operations to sustain a team-oriented and successful environment.
  • Maintain a keen understanding of SAMSON solutions and their proper application.
  • Perform product sales presentations to all levels of customers including engineering, maintenance and procurement.
  • Assist in negotiation of commercial issues involved in the customer’s purchasing process.  
  • Aid customers with technical and commercial questions, troubleshooting and product usage.
  • Regularly meet with customers at their facilities.
  • Lead proactive pursuit of customer projects.
  • Provide feedback on customer needs to SAMSON sales, product management and marketing teams.
  • Meet or exceed sales goals and sustain growth in assigned account base.  
  • Provide accurate and timely forecasts / reports for area of responsibility.  
  • Create and maintain territory sales plans.
Preferred Skills:
  • Knowledge and experience serving the chemical, oil refining, biotech/ pharmaceutical and food amp; beverage industries.
  • Successful experience advising and supporting customers with technical solutions in the process control industry.
  • Willingness to learn how to effectively explain, select, apply and sell SAMSON control valve solutions.
  • Business savvy with understanding of successful sales processes.

Other Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree (Technical/Engineering degree preferred).
  • 3-5 years of industry experience.
  • 5+ years industrial selling experience. Control valve sales experience preferred but not required.
  • Strong track record in a Sales or Market Development position with experience ideally within the chemical, power, pulp and paper, automotive and food amp; beverage markets.
  • Ability to travel 50% of the time.
  • Eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship.
