Location: Greeley, CO | Mountain Area Territory

Travel: 75%-100%, approximately 3+ weeks per month

About the Role

We're looking for a Regional Sales Agent to develop new business and manage an assigned insurance sales territory throughout the Mountain Area. This is a highly independent, relationship-driven position focused on working directly with agricultural producers, agribusinesses, and other customers to identify insurance and benefits needs and provide appropriate solutions.

The ideal candidate is entrepreneurial, results-driven, and comfortable developing a territory through prospecting, customer visits, community involvement, and relationship building.


Job Responsibilities

  • Achieve new business sales goals across assigned Property & Casualty, Workers' Compensation, health insurance, and employee benefits product lines
  • Develop new business throughout the assigned territory through prospecting, relationship building, and direct customer outreach
  • Meet with agricultural producers and other prospects through farm and on-site visits to evaluate insurance needs and explain available coverage options
  • Gather required information and documentation for insurance submissions and coordinate with internal teams to ensure timely submission to insurance carriers
  • Build and maintain relationships with key accounts and prospective customers through regular calls and in-person visits
  • Develop strategies to support new customer acquisition and existing business retention
  • Partner with sales leadership to develop and execute sales and marketing strategies for the assigned region
  • Work collaboratively with Account Executives and Account Managers using a team-selling approach
  • Monitor market conditions and identify opportunities to address changing customer and territory needs
  • Maintain accurate records of customer communications, sales activities, and performance metrics using company technology
  • Participate in training and professional development to strengthen insurance knowledge and sales effectiveness
  • Maintain knowledge of applicable insurance regulations and ensure sales activities and customer communications meet state and federal requirements
  • Become actively involved within the local community and develop relationships that support territory growth
  • Protect customer and member privacy and maintain high standards of integrity and professionalism
  • Perform additional duties as assigned


Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Communications, or a similar field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a sales environment, with experience in marketing, insurance, communications, and/or business development preferred
  • Agricultural background preferred
  • Must possess or obtain a Property & Casualty insurance license within 90 days of hire
  • Must possess or obtain a Life & Health insurance license within 6 months of hire
  • Valid driver's license required
  • Strong sales, relationship-building, communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Strong understanding of sales and marketing strategies used to move prospects through the sales process
  • Excellent verbal, written, presentation, and public-speaking skills
  • Ability to independently develop and manage relationships with customers, business partners, vendors, and internal teams
  • Self-motivated and comfortable managing a territory with limited day-to-day supervision
  • Ability to independently travel throughout the Mountain Area territory
  • Must be able to read, write, and speak English
  • Ability to travel 75%-100%, including approximately 3+ weeks per month
