Job description

We are seeking a seasoned Quality Systems Coordinator to lead the development, implementation, and continual improvement of our Quality Management System (QMS) for a key regional business hub. This location serves as a critical support center for our global manufacturing sites, focusing on Sales, Quoting, Customer Service, and Product Design.
The successful candidate will ensure our QMS conforms to internal standards, customer requirements, and global regulatory mandates (including ISO 9001, IATF 16949, and AS9100). This role is an individual contributor position that requires high-level collaboration with North American quality leadership to drive standardization and automation across the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
โ€ข QMS Leadership: Own the implementation and evolution of the site's QMS. Ensure all processes align with ISO 9001 (minimum) and support requirements for automotive (IATF 16949) and aerospace (AS9100) manufacturing interfaces.
โ€ข Audit Management: Coordinate and lead internal audit programs. Act as the primary liaison for 3rd-party Certification Bodies during external audits.
โ€ข Performance Metrics: Maintain and communicate site quality metrics. Analyze trends in customer service, quoting accuracy, and complaints to recommend strategic focus areas for leadership.
โ€ข Corrective Action (CAPA): Lead Root Cause Analysis and Corrective Action activities. Monitor investigations and conduct rigorous effectiveness verifications for both internal and external non-conformances (NCs).
โ€ข Document Control: Manage the Document Change Management process, including the Quality Manual, procedure revisions, and record control.
โ€ข Training & Development: Conduct QMS training for site personnel and maintain competence records. Improve team proficiency in modern problem-solving methodologies.
โ€ข Continuous Improvement: Track and evaluate the effectiveness of improvement projects against business and customer goals.
Qualifications & Requirements:
โ€ข Education: Bachelor's degree in Quality Management, Operations, Manufacturing Management, or a related technical field.
โ€ข Experience: 7-10 years of hands-on experience managing a QMS certified to ISO 9001:2015. Experience with IATF 16949 or AS9100 is highly desirable.
โ€ข Certifications: Lead or Internal Auditor certification (ISO 9001 or IATF 16949) is preferred.
โ€ข Technical Skills: Expert-level knowledge of Root Cause/Corrective Action protocols and CAPA systems. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and QMS automation software.
โ€ข Soft Skills: Exceptional communication and project management skills. Must be able to influence leadership and work effectively as an individual contributor within a global matrixed organization.
