Day to Day

Product Design & Organization

  • Analyze, map, and redesign end-to-end business processes to improve quality, throughput, operational efficiency, and customer experience.
  • Identify process constraints, bottlenecks, failure points, and sources of variation using data analysis and process engineering techniques.
  • Develop and implement scalable process solutions that improve business performance while balancing quality, service, cost, and compliance requirements.
  • Evaluate business systems, workflows, and technologies to identify opportunities for optimization, automation, and simplification.
  • Establish process standards, controls, and performance metrics to sustain improvements and drive operational excellence.

Problem Solving & Project Leadership

  • Investigate operational performance gaps and implement corrective actions that deliver sustainable results.
  • Lead complex problem-solving initiatives using structured methodologies such as Lean Six Sigma, DMAIC, A3 Thinking, and Root Cause Analysis.
  • Lead cross-functional improvement projects from opportunity identification through implementation, validation, and sustainment.
  • Assess the impact of proposed changes and ensure alignment with organizational goals, customer needs, and operational requirements.
  • Communicate project scope, progress, risks, and results to stakeholders and leadership teams.

Business Preformance & Change Leadership

  • Partner with operational leaders to translate business objectives into actionable improvement strategies and execution plans.
  • Act as a hands-on business partner, driving adoption of new processes, systems, and ways of working.
  • Measure, validate, and report operational and financial results resulting from implemented improvements.
  • Benchmark operations against industry best practices and identify opportunities to improve performance.
  • Deliver measurable improvements in productivity, quality, customer experience, revenue growth, and cost performance.

Essentials:

  • Bachelor's Degree (preferred in Engineering, Finance, Operations, Operations Management, Business Analytics, or a related field) 

  • 5+ years of experience in related (Industrial Engineering/ Process Engineering/Continuous Improvement/Project Management) roles with increasing levels of responsibility 

  • Manufacturing experience is a plus, but not necessary 

  • Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification or progress toward certification.

  • Experience with process mapping, process automation, workflow analysis, or operational analytics, performance measurement tools. 

  • Experience developing dashboards, KPIs, and performance monitoring systems. 

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills with the ability to identify root causes and implement sustainable solutions. 

  • Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills.

  • Advance Excel skills and moderate Power BI skills are preferred

Applicable pay range

$89,510.00 - $134,264.00

DLL is considering candidates in numerous locations. The pay estimate displayed represents the typical pay range for candidates hired for this position in the desired primary work location. Pay may be adjusted outside the projected range based on geographical differentiation as well as for any other lawful reason. Additional factors that may be used to determine your actual pay include your specific skills, years of relevant experience you possess, and other work-related qualifications. Many candidates may start in the bottom half of the applicable pay range, especially those with less experience or qualification.

This position is subject to the terms of DLL's compensation plans and policies. Further, the position includes all other benefits provided to DLL employees, including healthcare benefits, 401k matching, vacation, sick leave, parental leave, possible discretionary bonuses, and all other benefits that are all governed by and subject to ERISA plan documents and eligibility.
