Job description

Position Summary

We are seeking an energetic, relationship-driven Regional Marketer to oversee census development and referral management for two skilled nursing facilities in Queens, New York. The Regional Marketer will be responsible for building and maintaining strong referral relationships with hospitals, case managers, discharge planners, physicians, assisted living communities, and other healthcare providers to drive admissions and enhance the facilities' market presence.

The ideal candidate is a motivated healthcare marketing professional with strong communication skills, knowledge of post-acute care, and a proven ability to increase admissions and maintain referral partnerships.

Key ResponsibilitiesBusiness Development & Referral Management
  • Develop and maintain strategic relationships with hospitals, healthcare systems, physicians, discharge planners, social workers, case managers, and community organizations.
  • Generate qualified referrals and admissions for both facilities.
  • Conduct regular visits to referral sources throughout Queens, Brooklyn, Nassau County, and surrounding service areas.
  • Identify new business opportunities and referral channels to support census growth.
Admissions & Census Development
  • Collaborate closely with Admissions Directors and facility leadership to achieve census goals.
  • Monitor referral activity and admission trends.
  • Assist with referral conversion efforts and facilitate smooth transitions from hospitals and community settings.
  • Participate in admission strategy meetings and census reviews.
Community Outreach & Marketing
  • Represent the facilities at healthcare networking events, community programs, and professional associations.
  • Coordinate educational presentations and outreach initiatives.
  • Promote the facilities' clinical programs, rehabilitation services, and specialty care offerings.
  • Maintain a positive public image and strengthen brand awareness within the market.
Relationship Management
  • Serve as the primary liaison between referral sources and facility leadership.
  • Provide exceptional customer service and timely follow-up to referral partners.
  • Address concerns and resolve issues to maintain strong referral relationships.
  • Ensure consistent communication with key stakeholders.
Reporting & Analysis
  • Track marketing activities, referral sources, admissions, and conversion rates.
  • Prepare weekly and monthly marketing reports for executive leadership.
  • Analyze market trends, competitor activity, and referral patterns.
  • Recommend strategies to improve market share and admissions performance.
QualificationsRequired
  • Minimum of 3 years of healthcare marketing, admissions, business development, or related experience.
  • Experience working with skilled nursing facilities, rehabilitation centers, long-term care, home health, hospice, or hospital systems.
  • Strong understanding of post-acute care and discharge planning processes.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to travel regularly between facilities and referral sources throughout the region.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
Preferred
  • Existing relationships within Queens and New York City healthcare markets.
  • Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) marketing experience.
  • Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, Managed Care, and post-acute referral networks.
  • Experience with CRM and admissions tracking systems.
