The Account Executive Manager is responsible for leading, coaching, and developing a team of Account Executives and Senior Account Executives to achieve revenue targets and drive pipeline growth. This role combines sales leadership, strategic planning, and hands-on deal support to ensure the team consistently meets or exceeds performance expectations. The ideal candidate is a data-driven, motivational coach who can hold reps accountable and drive a positive culture.

Responsibilities

Team Leadership & Coaching

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Account Executives to achieve individual and team quotas.
  • Conduct regular 1:1s, training sessions, and performance reviews.
  • Provide hands-on deal support and guidance on sales strategy, objection handling, and negotiation.
  • Foster a positive, accountable, and collaborative team culture.

Sales Strategy & Execution

  • Own team forecasting, pipeline management, and performance tracking.
  • Analyze sales metrics to identify trends, optimize processes, and improve conversion rates.
  • Partner with leaders to refine sales playbooks, messaging, and best practices.
  • Drive pipeline generation strategies in collaboration with Marketing and SDR teams.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with Customer Success, Product, RevOps, and Marketing to deliver a seamlessly operational customer handoff and experience from new lead to client retention.
  • Relay customer insights and market trends to internal teams to support product improvements when necessary.

Performance Management

  • Drive rep accountability to clear KPIs, activity expectations, and success benchmarks.
  • Ensure consistent usage of Hubspot and Admin and accurate documentation of sales activities.
  • Manage underperformance with transparency, coaching, and structured performance improvement plans.

Recruiting & Onboarding

  • Lead onboarding and ramp-up processes to ensure quick time-to-productivity for both internal and external Account Executive candidates.

Qualifications

Required

  • 2+ years of experience in sales leadership, or senior AE closing experience
  • Proven track record of success.
  • Strong coaching ability.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
