About the Position

The company is seeking a Regional Director to lead and expand its North Carolina operations, based in Wilson, NC (just east of Raleigh). This is a high-impact leadership role overseeing a business unit currently generating $20M+ in annual revenue, with a clear mandate for strategic growth.

Reporting directly to the President & CEO, the Regional Director will be responsible for full operational oversight, including project execution, financial performance, team leadership, and market expansion. The role requires close collaboration with project management teams, field operations, and administrative staff, while maintaining strong relationships with key clients such as NCDOT, local municipalities, and private sector partners.

This is an opportunity to play a pivotal role in shaping regional strategy, driving operational excellence, and scaling a growing business unit.

Requirements

  • Proven leadership experience in the construction or specialty contracting industry
  • Strong background in signalization, lighting, ITS, or related infrastructure preferred
  • Demonstrated success managing P&L and driving revenue growth
  • Experience working with state DOTs (preferably NCDOT), municipalities, and/or private developers
  • Ability to lead cross-functional teams, including project management, field crews, and office staff
  • Excellent client relationship and business development skills
  • Strategic mindset with hands-on operational capabilities
  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, or related field (preferred)
