As the Regional Consulting Engineer, you will be responsible for providing quality service in the areas of consulting, restoration, and salvage for insurance losses involving technical equipment. You will utilize your expertise to perform field investigations, subsequent research, and summarize all findings in a report for the client.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Conduct and manage investigations involving commercial and industrial systems, such projects will involve:
    • Responsible for the overall organization and execution of the project, ensures the project work is conducted with the highest levels of professionalism, quality, and integrity.
    • Utilizing technical expertise for independent and collaborative analysis as well as utilizing/guiding the efforts of support colleagues, and ensuring all findings are appropriately documented and delivered to the client.
    • Document findings internally and formally in a final deliverable report.
    • Manage the project timeline, documentation, budget preparation and adherence, and overall time management.
    • Interfacing and building relationships with clients, verbally and through written communication, before, during, and after the project is complete, ensuring updates are delivered timely and expectations are met.
    • Manage vendors/subcontractors needed to complete the project.
    • Liaise with suppliers and contractors to secure necessary materials and services as appropriate.
    • Conduct equipment troubleshooting and evaluation to determine repair/refurbish/replace determination.
    • Establishing the cause of equipment damage, such as: water damage, lightning damage, power surge, etc.
  • Claims may be related to all types of electronic equipment, including computer networks, medical technology, industrial machinery, telecommunications infrastructure, and manufacturing equipment.
  • May be asked to complete other work or projects for the company as determined by management.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline is required.
  • 1-3 years’ experience evaluating failures in a commercial or industrial setting required.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills-verbal and written.
  • 20% travel, occasional overnight travel required. Travel may increase dependent on claim volume.
  • Experience in consulting or client-facing roles beneficial.
  • Strong technical writing and documentation skills.
  • Must have an inquisitive nature approaching your work in a curious nature.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in inclement weather and various environmental conditions.
  • Customer service mentality.
  • Accountable for following through on commitments and completing such commitments with professionalism, quality, and integrity.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Experience working independently and in a collaborative team environment.
