What You'll Do

As an Assistant Manager, you'll partner with the General Manager to lead daily restaurant operations while building a positive, high-performing team.

Your responsibilities include:

  • Helping lead all day-to-day restaurant operations to ensure an exceptional guest experience

  • Coaching, developing, and motivating team members through positive leadership

  • Assisting with hiring, onboarding, and training new employees

  • Leading shifts while maintaining Jersey Mike's standards for food quality, cleanliness, and customer service

  • Monitoring labor, productivity, and food quality throughout each shift

  • Assisting with inventory management, ordering, receiving deliveries, and controlling food costs

  • Ensuring compliance with food safety, sanitation, and company operating standards

  • Handling customer concerns professionally and creating positive resolutions

  • Supporting scheduling, daily operations, and restaurant performance goals

  • Opening and closing the restaurant as needed

  • Leading by example and fostering a positive, accountable, team-first culture

Requirements

  • Previous leadership experience in a restaurant, retail, or customer service environment preferred

  • Flexible availability, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as business needs require

  • Reliable transportation and dependable attendance

  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds

  • Must meet applicable age requirements for operating certain equipment, including slicer equipment, where required by state or local regulations

  • Food safety certification may be required and will be provided through training if applicable
