Leasing and Compliance Manager

Position Overview

Are you a natural salesperson who thrives on meeting new people, building relationships, and inspiring others to take action. Do you enjoy traveling, working independently, and creating excitement around a new product? If so, we invite you to join our team as a Traveling Leasing & Marketing Manager.

This is not your typical leasing position. As a Traveling Leasing & Marketing Manager, you will lead the lease-up and marketing efforts for newly developed affordable, senior, and family apartment communities throughout your assigned region. You will serve as the face of the property, introducing new apartment homes to residents, community leaders, referral partners, local organizations, and government agencies. You are the Brand Ambassador

Your mission is simple: generate qualified traffic, lease apartment homes, achieve stabilization goals, and move on to the next exciting assignment.

Success in this role requires a strong sales mindset, exceptional people skills, creativity, self-motivation, and the ability to influence prospects through one of life's biggest decisions: choosing a new home.

This position requires 100% travel and is ideal for someone who enjoys being in the field, creating connections, and making an immediate impact.

Territory

This position supports new development lease-ups and community launches within one of the following regions:

  • Texas / Missouri Region
  • Georgia / South Carolina Region

The selected candidate will be assigned to one region and will travel 100% of the time within that territory.

Responsibilities

Community Outreach & Lead Generation (80%)

The majority of your workday will be spent actively engaging with the local community and generating qualified leads.

Responsibilities include:

  • Conduct door-to-door outreach and grassroots marketing campaigns
  • Build relationships with local residents, businesses, employers, community organizations, and referral sources
  • Develop partnerships with governmental agencies, municipalities, housing authorities, nonprofits, and civic leaders
  • Serve as the property's Brand Ambassador throughout the market
  • Identify and execute innovative marketing initiatives tailored to each community
  • Plan, organize, and host resident and prospect events
  • Attend community functions, networking events, and local meetings
  • Generate awareness through guerrilla marketing strategies and face-to-face relationship building
  • Establish referral networks to drive consistent prospect traffic
  • Visit and evaluate competing apartment communities to assess market positioning and pricing
  • Utilize social media, digital advertising, outreach programs, and local media opportunities
  • Maintain a visible presence throughout the community every day
  • Create excitement and urgency around leasing opportunities

Leasing Administration & Occupancy Management (20%)

The remaining portion of your time will focus on converting prospects into residents and managing the leasing process.

Responsibilities include:

  • Conduct professional apartment tours
  • Follow up with prospects through phone, email, and text communication
  • Assist applicants through the qualification and approval process
  • Collect and verify required documentation
  • Process rental applications and maintain compliance requirements
  • Maintain prospect and leasing records within company systems
  • Monitor leasing goals and occupancy performance
  • Assist with move-in coordination and resident onboarding
  • Prepare marketing reports and leasing activity updates
  • Recommend adjustments to marketing strategies based on results and market conditions

Qualifications

Required

  • Minimum 2 years of leasing, sales, marketing, hospitality, recruiting, retail sales, or related customer-facing experience
  • Proven ability to generate leads and close sales
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
  • Comfortable working independently with minimal supervision
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and online marketing platforms

Preferred

  • Multifamily leasing experience
  • New development lease-up experience
  • Affordable housing or LIHTC experience
  • Event planning and community outreach experience
  • Social media marketing experience
  • Bilingual skills are a plus
