The Regional Director is responsible for providing leadership, operational oversight, and administrative support for assigned services, programs, and geographic regions. This position partners with organizational leadership to ensure quality service delivery, fiscal accountability, regulatory compliance, employee development, and positive outcomes for clients. Key Responsibilities:
Lead and support assigned offices, programs, and service regions to ensure exceptional client outcomes and quality service delivery.
Build and maintain strong relationships with community partners, funding sources, stakeholders, and regulatory agencies.
Mentor, develop, and support leadership staff to foster employee engagement, productivity, and professional growth.
Oversee quality management processes, audits, corrective action plans, and service improvement initiatives.
Monitor program performance, client satisfaction, service outcomes, and operational effectiveness across assigned regions.
Manage budgets, financial performance, revenue goals, expenditures, and overall fiscal health of assigned programs and offices.
Coordinate staffing strategies, recruitment efforts, onboarding activities, training initiatives, and performance management processes.
Ensure compliance with Department of Mental Health requirements, contractual obligations, organizational policies, and applicable regulatory standards.
Support referral development, community outreach, networking, marketing efforts, and strategic growth initiatives.
Participate in leadership meetings, strategic planning activities, grant oversight, and organizational committees as assigned.
Oversee electronic health records and program documentation to ensure accuracy, completeness, and timely completion.
Respond effectively to routine and crisis situations while maintaining a focus on client safety and wellbeing.
Manage grant, contract, and reporting requirements, including budget monitoring, outcome tracking, renewals, and submissions.
Collaborate with all organizational service lines to promote integrated, client-centered service delivery.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Education, Experience, and/or Credential Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree or Master's Degree in Social Sciences or a related field preferred.
Five years of experience working with individuals with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities.
Basic knowledge of Missouri Department of Mental Health - Developmental Disabilities guidelines and Medicaid requirements.
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Social Services, or a related field preferred.
Two or more years of leadership experience in employment services, personnel management, social services, or a related field preferred.
Additional Qualifications:
Strong leadership, team-building, and employee development skills.
Advanced verbal and written communication abilities.
Ability to maintain positive and professional relationships with clients, funding sources, stakeholders, and community partners.
Strong customer service skills and commitment to treating individuals with dignity and respect.
Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, internet-based applications, and other electronic systems.
Comprehensive understanding of supporting individuals with disabilities and barriers to employment, education, and independent living.
Ability to remain calm and effective during crisis situations.
Familiarity with the Individualized Support Plan (ISP) process.
Willingness to work direct care shifts when necessary to support operations.
Successful completion of background checks, including criminal record, driving record, abuse/neglect screening, and fingerprint check.
Current driver's license, acceptable driving record, and current auto insurance required.
Must have current CPR/First Aid certification or be willing to obtain certification.
Physical Requirements
Perform primarily sedentary work, exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally.
Frequently use hands, fingers, and arms for typing, writing, and computer-based tasks.
Sit for extended periods throughout the workday.
Occasionally stand and walk for brief periods as needed.
