Summary

The Refurbishment Supervisor is responsible for guiding people, strengthening culture, and ensuring seamless product flow through our Refurbishment departments. Duties focus on achieving refurbishment goals, coordinating operations to enable the daily build plan, and train personnel to achieve the highest level of quality.

Responsible for working cross-departmentally to communicate and resolve daily operations and quality issues. Reassign employees as required and give direction when Manager is absent from work area and as required to maintain daily production. Manage day-to-day timekeeping system and weekly hours approvals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Organize and orchestrate refurbishment operation activities to promote the highest quality standards and achieve On Time Delivery
  • Monitor production schedules and communicate potential interruptions to appropriate departments and personnel
  • Reduce costs through efficiencies, continuous improvement processes, and responsible use of resources
  • Communicate department and organizational targets, goals, and objectives with the team
  • Lead, motivate, and train a diverse group of employees to achieve departmental / organizational goals and objectives
  • Ensures sufficient material and labor resources to meet refurbishment operational requirements
  • Utilizes performance tracking metrics to monitor performance and provides timely feedback to employees on opportunities and recognizes employees for excellence
  • Conduct employee appraisals in accordance with HR standards and guidelines
  • Responsible for a safe environment (OSHA)
  • Responsible for the hiring, training, and discipline of employees in accordance with company policy. Provides input into termination, compensation, and promotion decisions
  • Support accuracy of work orders and prepare and record all shipping documentation required for each outbound shipment
  • In conjunction with the Inventory team, is accountable for the overall inventory accuracy of the facility
  • Adhere to and support all safety procedures and SOP’s

Preferred Qualifications

  • 5 – 8 years’ experience in manufacturing environment
  • 3 – 5 years in a supervisory or lead position
  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Access, Outlook, Word, and ERP knowledge
  • Strong team building skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-tasked environment
  • Ability to comply with standard processes and procedures
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with team and management
  • Ability to troubleshoot problems and resolve issues effectively

Travel: Travel to Corporate offices and customer sites as needed.

Physical Requirements

While performing the duties of this job, frequently will be required to stand for long periods, use hands/fingers repetitively, handle or feel objects, tools, and/or talk or hear. Good hand-eye coordination. Will be required to walk, reach with hands and arms, bend, stoop, kneel, and crouch and lift and/or move up to 40 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include some close vision. Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

Tools & Equipment: PC, printer, telephone, other office equipment.

Environmental Factors: Manufacturing and warehouse environment (non-climate-controlled). The noise level in this environment is low to mid-range.

Salary Range: $70k - $85k per year
