Electrical Fabricator At Mobile Air & Power Rentals, we provide innovative cooling, heating, dehumidification, and power solutions for customers nationwide. Our Rental Solutions Business depends on skilled technical fabrication teams to build, customize, refurbish, and support rental equipment used across a wide range of industries and applications. What you'll do: As a Electrical Fabricator, you will apply your technical expertise in electrical and control systems to support the fabrication, troubleshooting, refurbishment, and customization of rental equipment and new builds. Key responsibilities include:

  • Perform electrical fabrication, repair, and refurbishment activities for rental equipment and new builds
  • Troubleshoot electrical and control system issues to identify root causes and implement efficient, safe solutions
  • Support shop floor fabrication activities across a range of equipment and custom projects
  • Perform electrical system mapping, panel building, and refurbishment of electrical cabinets and control panels
  • Operate shop equipment and heavy machinery, including cranes, saws, forklifts, and semi-tractor trailers
  • Complete required documentation related to work performed, testing, and repairs
  • Identify and communicate process improvements that enhance efficiency, quality, and shop safety
  • Support depot operations, including serving as a backup Depot Coordinator when directed
  • Assist with shipping, receiving, and general depot activities as needed
  • Perform other duties or special projects assigned to support fabrication and rental operations

We're looking for the following skills/experience:

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in an electrical, manufacturing, or technical fabrication environment
  • Master or Journeyman Electrician certification required
  • Strong understanding of electrical and control systems, codes, and best practices
  • Transformer logic experience preferred
  • Forklift certification required; crane operation experience preferred
  • Shipping and receiving experience is a plus
  • Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office and other PC-based programs
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with internal teams
  • Commitment to safety, quality workmanship, and continuous improvement
