Job description

Place Services, Inc. with their HQ based in Canton, GA (Atlanta area) has an immediate need for experienced Supermarket Refrigeration Installers in a variety of geographic areas including but not limited to Nashville, Knoxville, Birmingham and Atlanta, Greenville SC and Charlotte. This is a high travel position that will consist of mostly night work with the possibility of some dayshift work.

The Refrigeration Installer will be responsible for installing supermarket customer walk in and reach in refrigeration systems.

What You’ll Do:

  • Execute the installation of refrigeration systems in accordance with blueprints, specifications, and local building codes
  • Build and install pipe hangers, fit and braze copper pipe ensuring the proper installation of refrigerated cases in supermarkets
  • Assemble, position, and mount refrigeration units, condensers, compressors, and other components
  • Adhere to safety protocols and procedures to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment.
  • Maintain compliance with industry regulations and standards for refrigeration systems
  • Follow proper disposal procedures for refrigerants and hazardous materials in accordance with environmental regulations.
  • Maintain accurate records of work performed, including installation logs, service reports, and equipment specifications.
  • Document equipment inspections, repairs, and maintenance tasks for reference and future analysis.
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members regarding job progress, issues encountered, and solutions implemented.
  • Interact professionally with supermarket management and staff to understand their refrigeration needs and address any concerns.
  • Provide courteous and responsive customer service, resolving inquiries and requests in a timely manner.

What You Bring:

  • Have a Valid Driver's License and maintain a safe driving record accordance with the Fleet Policy
  • Must be physically able to walk distances, bend and crouch, climb ladders, work at high elevations and lift/carry objects up to fifty pounds, repetitively and for an external period
  • Able to provide prompt and detailed communications
  • Available to work nights and/or Sundays
  • Working knowledge of basic and commercial refrigeration (if a Lead)
  • EPA Certification preferred but not required
