Job description

Job Title: Refrigeration Technician

Job Description

Responsible for the maintenance, repair, construction, and modification of all refrigeration and heating, ventilation, and air conditioning equipment, with a special emphasis on ammonia refrigeration and compressors and boilers.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot, maintain, and repair manufacturing and ammonia refrigeration equipment or systems.
  • Perform daily rounds/checks of the ammonia system.
  • Conduct necessary preventative maintenance on all equipment, including rebuilding compressors and boilers as needed.
  • Record necessary information pertaining to maintenance.

Essential Skills

  • Knowledge of NH3 refrigeration principles.
  • Understanding of plant refrigeration systems, electric and mechanical procedures.
  • Certification or licenses in Refrigeration Operator 1 & 2, CARO, CIRO, or RETA are highly preferred.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience in troubleshooting, repair, and preventive maintenance of refrigeration equipment.

The pay range for this position is $52000.00 - $83200.00/yr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
