Pay Range: $30-$50 per hour (DOE), FLSA non-exempt (overtime eligible).

Here's a deeper dive into your responsibilities:
QA/QC Program Implementation & Oversight
- Implement and supervise the QA/QC programs for the assigned project job site(s).
- Witness and perform onsite welding inspections.
- Supervise and validate third-party NDE (Non-Destructive Examination).
- Qualify welders and validate craft certifications.
- Perform ASME Section IX and D1.1 welder qualifications and testing.
- Maintain Welding Logs and continuity reporting.
- Administer ASME and NBIC Code requirements for code work.
Documentation, Compliance & Continuous Improvement
- Initiate, maintain, and distribute QA/QC documentation and records.
- Perform receiving inspections and issue notifications.
- Supervise the control and calibration of measuring and testing equipment.
- Identify and facilitate the correction of non-conformances.
- Facilitate internal quality audits.
- Track and maintain accurate quality records and reports.
Collaboration & Field Support
- Maintain a positive working relationship with JH Kelly shop and field personnel, as well as third-party NDE Authorized Inspectors.
- Exercise stop work authority when necessary to protect quality and safety.
- Read and interpret Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs), isometric drawings, plan views, and other construction drawings.
- Support structural steel and mechanical equipment installation with a strong focus on quality.
- Manage the workload of team members and lead department meetings.
- Complete performance evaluations of all team members and create action plans to help them be successful and meet both company and career goals.
- Provide an environment of trust, support, and encouragement for team members to be their best.
- Advocate for team members and the department while keeping the team well-informed and maintaining open communication.
- Oversee Longview Front Office Coordinator and coordinate lunch and vacation coverage.
- Be the point-of-contact for all AP requests and liaise with management as needed.
- Provide support and resources for complex projects and questions.
What You Bring
- Experience: Minimum of five (5) years of Quality Control experience in the industrial construction industry, with significant time spent in refinery environments.
- Demonstrated understanding of refinery-specific QA/QC processes and safety protocols.
- Strong experience with structural steel and mechanical equipment.
- Experience reading P&IDs, isometric, and other technical drawings is preferred.
- Experience operating MEWPs and using fall protection for inspections is required.
- Certifications: Current CWI (Certified Welding Inspector) and Visual Acuity Certifications required.
- Training and experience levels consistent with qualifications per SNT-TC-1A.
- Technical Skills: Fully proficient in Microsoft Office and Bluebeam, with intermediate to advanced skills in Excel. Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and specifications.

Physical Requirements
This role requires the ability to work in both office and active industrial construction site environments, including exposure to moving equipment, machinery, heights, precarious places, outdoor weather conditions, noise, and occasional exposure to toxic or caustic chemicals. The employee must be able to frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required include close vision and distance vision. The employee is regularly required to talk or hear, sit, walk, stand, and use hands to handle tools and equipment. Occasional reaching, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, or crouching is necessary. The ability to drive an automobile, operate MEWPs, and use fall protection is required. A valid driver's license and TWIC card are mandatory for access to secured refinery locations.
