Purpose: To support and lead activities of the Applications Engineering Department, including support to Internal Customers - Sales, Project Management, Marketing, and Business Development and External Customers. Major responsibilities include lead engineering role for project execution (field installation, startup, maintenance), development of infrastructure resources and training materials, product monitoring and testing, demonstrations and proposal support activities of both catalysts and carbon capture
Responsibilities and Duties:
Responsible for the application of internal standards and practices to the tasks of:
Project Engineering:
• Responsibilities include working with internal and external project manager and engineer counterparts in execution of engineering activities during project implementation. Items will include design, documentation, communication to manufacturing, product test plans, field work, and implementation of long-term product monitoring programs.
Catalyst management :
• Implementation of catalyst testing and long-term product monitoring programs.
• Execution of field services including, but not limited to, Installation support/supervision, SCR inspections, AIG tuning, and troubleshooting.
• Interact with customers to communicate SCR lab & field performance results.
Design & Proposal :
• Assist the Sales Lead in an accurate and timely review of a customer's request for proposal that meets the requirements.
• Extension of infrastructure building through training of sales engineers.
• Technical & strategy consulting for select proposals, and competitive analyses.
Project Implementation:
• Work with project manager and customer engineering counterparts in execution of engineering activities including design review, documentation, communication to manufacturing, product test plans, and field work.
Infrastructure and Training :
• Design of test apparatus and development of test plan for new products or product extensions.
• Communications with test sites, monitoring of samples, scale up engineering and technical report writing.
Qualifications and Core Competencies:
• BS Degree in Mechanical or Chemical engineering with 3 - 5 years' experience.
• Experience in design and/or operation of power plant equipment, process plants, and/or environmental controls is desired.

• Capability to travel (estimated at ~30% time)
• Communications Skills (verbal and written)
• Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Python.

• Familiarity with AI tools is considered a positive.
Structural analysis capability, familiarity with CEMs and/or DCS control theory, and/or strong process engineering background all considered as positives
