Job description

Physical Therapist – Inpatient

Schedule: 5x8 – choose Mon–Fri or Tues–Sat Weekend requirement: 2 weekend shifts per month

Assignment Details:

  • Contract Length: 13 weeks
  • Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours/week

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 1 year inpatient/acute care experience
  • BLS certification
  • New Mexico (NM) physical therapy license required (may be pending at time of submission)

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate and treat patients with a variety of diagnoses, including orthopedic, neurological, and medical conditions.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to facilitate rehabilitation goals.
  • Provide education to patients and their families regarding treatment and recovery processes.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to optimize patient care.
  • Document patient progress and treatment outcomes in the electronic medical record.
  • Ensure compliance with facility policies and procedures regarding patient care.

Compliance / Notes:

  • Orientation: 24 hours
  • Documentation due 10 days prior to start; compliance must begin within 1–2 weeks of signing.
  • Free parking available.
  • Scrub attire: Black scrub pants and red shirt.
