Job Summary:
Integrated Computer Solutions, Inc. (ICS) is dedicated to setting the benchmark for excellence in government services, particularly in the Department of War and Intelligence Community. The Red Hat Linux Systems Engineer (Journeyman) role involves providing Tier II system administration and operational support for Linux-based environments, ensuring system availability, performance, and security within a classified enterprise environment.
Responsibilities:
โ€ข Administer, configure, and maintain Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) systems.
โ€ข Monitor system performance, availability, and resource utilization.
โ€ข Troubleshoot hardware, software, and OS-level issues.
โ€ข Apply patches, upgrades, and security updates in compliance with change management.
โ€ข Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls.
โ€ข Support backup, recovery, and system restoration processes.
โ€ข Maintain system logs and ensure audit and compliance requirements are met.
โ€ข Support integration with enterprise storage and infrastructure systems.
โ€ข Collaborate with network, database, and application teams to ensure system reliability.
โ€ข Participate in incident, problem, and change management processes.
Qualifications:
Required:
โ€ข Active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility
โ€ข DoD IAT Level II certification (e.g., Security+ CE)
โ€ข 10+ years of relevant IT experience
โ€ข Experience administering Linux/UNIX systems in enterprise environments
