Job description

The Manager, Logistics Carrier Performance partners closely with Red Bull's carriers and third-party logistics provider to ensure Red Bull product is delivered to Distributor, RBDC, and Direct Customer warehouses on-time, in-full, and at a competitive cost.

This role is a key customer support function for the Red Bull Order Management, customers, Lagerhaus Warehouse & Sales teams, assisting with logistics-related problem solving specifically pertaining to carrier performance management, internal/external customer inquiries, and freight claims

This role will accomplish its purpose through daily analysis of carrier performance scorecards, regular meetings with carriers, development & organization of carrier meeting action items, and development of presentation materials.

* PERFORMANCE MANAGEMENT

Perform daily deep-dive analysis of carrier performance to identify trends and opportunities for improvement, including but not limited to: On-time pickup, On-time delivery, Tender acceptance, Any other scorecard or relevant metric

Work directly with carriers and Geodis (Red Bull's 3PL) to translate performance insights into operational improvements, corrective actions, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Partner with Order Management as well as Sales & Distribution management to ensure customer logistics needs & KPIs are always met.

Analyze planning and delivery exceptions (e.g., missed pickups, late deliveries, tender refusals) and work with cross-functional stakeholders (Order Management, Sales, Lagerhaus Operations, Geodis, carriers) to identify root causes and drive corrective actions.

Collaborate with Logistics leadership should additional/different metrics or other methods be used to manage and improve carrier performance.

Participate in OTIF and TM data quality projects, ensuring Geodis is accurately tracking planning and delivery exceptions and that data supports reliable performance measurement and decision-making.

* PROJECT MANAGEMENT FOR CARRIER MEETINGS

Own end-to-end project management for recurring, annual, and ad hoc carrier alignment/performance meetings, including:

Scheduling: CLEARID building security, outlook calendar management, logistics, attendee coordination.

* MEETING PREPARATION/FACILITATION

Preparing slides and supporting materials by gathering, validating, and synthesizing relevant data points and carrier performance metrics.

Distributing meeting agendas aligned with key KPIs and priorities.

Capturing key discussion points, decisions, and takeaways during meetings and translating them into clear, actionable tasks.

Assigning owners and timelines to action items and driving follow-up to ensure closure and sustained improvement.

Participate and/or lead carrier transportation tours of Lagerhaus

* FREIGHT CLAIMS

Monitor and assist with email follow-through on any compromised loads; become an expert on SOPs for different scenarios, work with the Quality team, and instruct internal/external stakeholders accordingly.

Manage and monitor Geodis freight claims using Geodis reporting and Zendesk reporting to maximize payouts and scrutinize carrier denials.

EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business or related field (preferred, but not required)
  • 5+ years of experience in Logistics related roles such as: Logistics Manager, Transportation Manager, Operations Manager, Supply Chain Manager, Logistics Planner, Logistics Specialist, Transportation Planner, Carrier Development, Logistics Analyst.
  • Analytical skills with ability to interpret KPIs, monitor for trends, & identify areas of opportunity to improve both cost & execution performance.
  • Strong time management skills to prioritize projects & tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication skills, eager to service both internal & external stakeholders by providing exceptional levels of customer service & strong focus on follow through.
  • Extensive experience in leading and facilitating meetings.
  • Self-motivated team member who can drive issue resolution with strong problem-solving skills and a continuous improvement mindset.
  • Experience managing or working for third party logistics providers, transportation carriers, or transportation brokers.
  • Knowledge & experience with ERP, TM, & WMS software (SAP &/or Mercury Gate preferred)
  • Advanced user in MS Office Suite (Excel, Power Point, Word)
  • Travel 0-10%
