JOB TITLE: SORTER


LOCATION: Santa Barbara


MarBorg Industries is a local family-owned and operated business. We are seeking a hardworking, reliable individual to work full-time as a Sorter in our recycling facility and as a Helper for residential routes. This role involves sorting materials in the yard and assisting drivers on residential collection routes as needed. The ideal candidate is safety-conscious, physically capable, and able to work in a fast-paced outdoor environment.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include but are not limited to the following:

• Manually sort material from the conveyor and into designated bins.
• Empty sorted material containers as needed.
• Assist coworkers as needed with heavy or bulky items.
• Maintain a clean work area.
• Assist driver with curbside trash and recycling collection in an efficient and safe manner.
• Attend weekly safety meetings.
• Ability to adhere to work schedule.
• Must be flexible to work early and late hours depending on workload.
• Completes special projects that the on-site manager may assign and prioritize.
• Safely perform duties in compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations and company policies.
• Comply with OSHA regulations when using hazardous chemicals on company premises; comply with company safety regulations.
• Perform other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: 6 months of relevant work experience, no education required.
