Job description

ASSOCIATE RECRUITER

Launch your career in healthcare recruiting.

Bloomfield Hills, MI | Full-time | Hybrid | Early Career

Walker Healthforce is a specialized healthcare staffing, IT, and consulting firm connecting exceptional professionals with healthcare organizations nationwide. We are seeking a motivated Associate Recruiter who wants to build a career in consultative, technology-enabled recruiting.

This is not a traditional corporate HR position. It is a fast-paced, performance-oriented role focused on engaging candidates, evaluating fit, building relationships, and helping convert strong candidates into successful placements.

What You’ll Do

  • Use Bullhorn, AI-enabled recruiting tools, professional networks, job boards, and referrals to identify potential candidates.
  • Review AI-recommended matches critically and confirm skills, experience, location, compensation, availability, and interest.
  • Conduct structured candidate screens to understand qualifications, accomplishments, career goals, and potential concerns.
  • Build trusted candidate relationships through responsive, personalized communication and consistent follow-through.
  • Prepare clear candidate summaries and maintain accurate, timely records in Bullhorn.
  • Coordinate interview preparation, candidate follow-up, and ongoing engagement throughout the hiring process.
  • Work with recruiters and account managers while using performance metrics and coaching to improve quality, speed, and conversion.

What We’re Looking For

  • Zero to two years of professional experience. Recent graduates are encouraged to apply.
  • Strong verbal and written communication, active listening and relationship-building skills.
  • Curiosity, sound judgment, and the ability to look beyond keywords when evaluating people and information.
  • Strong organization, urgency, attention to detail and consistent follow-through.
  • Comfort with measurable goals, frequent outreach, changing priorities and occasional rejection.
  • Ability to learn healthcare concepts, recruiting practices, and new technology quickly.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred; equivalent relevant experience will be considered.

Experience that translates well: internships, sales, customer service, hospitality, admissions, fundraising, athletics, campus leadership, or other achievement-oriented work.

Training and Career Growth

You will receive structured training in healthcare and IT recruiting, candidate qualification, Bullhorn, AI-enabled tools, relationship-building, and recruiting metrics.

The Associate Recruiter role is designed as an entry point into a long-term recruiting career. Associates who demonstrate consistent candidate quality, conversion, process discipline, and closing readiness may progress into full-cycle Healthcare Recruiter responsibilities with increased placement ownership and earning opportunity.

Compensation and Benefits

Competitive base compensation with performance-based earning opportunity.

Medical, dental, and vision insurance; paid time off; retirement benefits; disability coverage; and professional development.

Join forces with us. Build relationships. Develop expertise. Help healthcare organizations perform at their best.

Equal Opportunity Employer
