Build Your HR Career With NETTTS

Are you organized, outgoing, and someone who genuinely enjoys connecting with people? Are you interested in building a career in Human Resources and recruiting?

New England Tractor Trailer Training School (NETTTS) is looking for an HR Recruiting & Onboarding Coordinator to join our Human Resources team.

This is a great opportunity for someone early in their HR career who wants hands-on experience with the entire recruiting and onboarding process. You'll help us find great candidates, keep the hiring process moving, and make sure new employees have a positive experience from their first conversation with NETTTS through their first day on the job.

You'll work primarily from home, but this isn't a position where you'll spend every day behind a computer. You'll interact regularly with candidates, hiring managers, and campus leaders and travel as needed to our locations in Pawtucket, RI; Haverhill, MA; Somers, CT; and Bridgeport, CT.

What You'll Do
  • Post job openings and proactively source candidates for open positions.
  • Review resumes and conduct initial candidate phone screens.
  • Identify candidates who meet position requirements and may be a strong fit for NETTTS.
  • Coordinate interviews and keep candidates and hiring managers informed throughout the process.
  • Follow up with hiring managers to keep recruiting processes moving.
  • Support employment offers, background and reference processes, and pre-employment requirements.
  • Participate in job fairs, community outreach, campus hiring initiatives, and other recruiting efforts.
  • Coordinate new-hire onboarding from accepted offer through the employee's first day.
  • Initiate and monitor onboarding through ADP and follow up on outstanding requirements.
  • Help make sure new employees feel informed, prepared, and welcomed.
  • Assist with I-9 and employment eligibility documentation.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential recruiting and employee records.
  • Track recruiting and onboarding activity and assist with HR projects and employee initiatives.
  • Travel to NETTTS campuses as needed.
Who We're Looking For

You don't need years of HR experience to be successful in this position.

We're looking for someone who is motivated, personable, organized, and dependable—someone who takes ownership of their responsibilities and doesn't need to be reminded about every next step.

You may be a great fit if you:

  • Enjoy talking with people and building relationships.
  • Communicate confidently and professionally by phone, email, video, and in person.
  • Are extremely organized and pay attention to the details.
  • Can manage multiple candidates, openings, and deadlines at the same time.
  • Follow through and keep things moving.
  • Are comfortable working independently from home while staying connected with a team.
  • Have a sense of urgency when something needs to get done.
  • Can adapt when priorities change.
  • Are interested in learning, growing, and taking on more responsibility within HR.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Communications, or a related field is preferred but not required.
  • Up to two years of experience in HR, recruiting, onboarding, administrative support, customer service, sales, hospitality, or another people-focused role is a plus.
  • Experience with ADP Workforce Now or another HRIS/onboarding system is a plus.
  • Familiarity with LinkedIn, Indeed, applicant tracking systems, or other recruiting tools is helpful.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel to NETTTS campuses as needed.
  • Must reside within a reasonable commuting distance of NETTTS campuses in Pawtucket, RI; Haverhill, MA; Somers, CT; and Bridgeport, CT, and be able to travel to these locations as needed.
Why This Role?

If you're trying to break into HR, we know it can be difficult to find an opportunity that gives you meaningful experience without requiring years of experience first.

This role is an opportunity to get involved in real recruiting and HR work—talking with candidates, partnering with managers, coordinating hiring, onboarding employees, working in ADP, and learning how HR supports multiple locations and departments.

We're looking for someone who wants to learn, contribute, and grow with us.

If that sounds like you, we'd love to hear from you. Apply today to join the NETTTS team.
