Job description

Sales Executive – Staffing Solutions
Location: Warren, MI (Supporting Metro Detroit Territory)
Position Overview
Kelly Services is seeking an experienced Sales Executive to grow our staffing business throughout Metro Detroit. This role is responsible for developing new business opportunities, building strong customer relationships, and expanding Kelly’s presence in the market.
We are looking for a true hunter mentality—someone who enjoys being out in the community, visiting companies, building relationships face-to-face, and identifying opportunities to provide staffing solutions. This is not an inside sales role focused primarily on making phone calls from an office. The ideal candidate is comfortable walking into businesses, meeting decision-makers, and creating opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and grow new staffing business opportunities throughout assigned Metro Detroit territories.
  • Conduct outside sales activities, including in-person client visits, prospecting, networking, and relationship building.
  • Identify companies with staffing needs across light industrial, administrative, clerical, and professional staffing environments.
  • Build relationships with hiring managers, HR leaders, and business owners.
  • Sell Kelly’s staffing solutions, including temporary staffing, direct hire, and workforce solutions.
  • Cross-sell Kelly services and identify opportunities to expand existing customer partnerships.
  • Manage the full sales cycle from prospecting through customer onboarding.
  • Partner with recruiting and operations teams to ensure successful client delivery.
  • Maintain accurate sales activity, pipeline, and customer information.

Required Qualifications
  • Previous staffing industry sales experience required.
  • Proven success selling staffing solutions in a competitive market.
  • Experience with light industrial staffing, administrative/clerical staffing, and data entry roles preferred.
  • Strong understanding of workforce solutions and staffing operations.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop new business and generate revenue.
  • Comfortable with daily outside sales activities and visiting prospective customers.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to manage a territory and work independently.

Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is comfortable walking into businesses, meeting with decision-makers, using a consultative approach to understand their workforce challenges, and creating opportunities by providing tailored staffing solutions.
Territory
This position will support multiple areas throughout Metro Detroit and requires regular travel within the assigned territory.
Why Kelly?
